“Hey! John! Let us go to the cyber café to have some fun,” Lawrence shouted at John. John looked elated and over the moon upon hearing his fast friend’s invitation. He nodded his head and took the bunch of keys but out of the blue, he was stopped by his beloved mother accompanied by a stern face right in front of him. “Where are you going to and with who?” his mother asked strictly.
“Erm……with friends and to the cyber café,” he answered without self-assured. The answer had come out obviously, NO! It has become an undoubtedly fact that more state-of-art is getting into our daily lives and routines nowadays. The latest technologies have become one part of us without realizing and many teenagers are involving in playing online games as their ego. And the most common scenario is playing online games at the cyber cafes but someone does not think that this is a good pass-time but an action to waste the precious time.
To them, playing online games will not bring any benefits and good outcome thus an activity to hurt the teenagers during their growing periods because of the spirit of violence in the video games. Besides, many of them think that it is a complicated place and also a home for the unwholesome teenagers. They are afraid that their beloved offspring are going to mingle with the unhealthy kids and adhere some harmful habits. However, I definitely and desperately disagree with the thoughts and misunderstandings about playing video games.
Moreover, I will put my two thumbs up to the brainchild that playing online games at cyber café do more good than harm. First and foremost, playing online games in cyber cafes is better and healthier than having other worse entertainment outlets. As an entertainment place, cyber cafes are much safer rather other than the others such as night clubs and pubs which have always taken limelight in selling drugs and involving in other criminal activities. Furthermore, nowadays gangsters are getting more active in the entertainment outlets especially the tow examples mentioned to invite teenagers taking part in their parties and carry out some hazardous activities. Be careful with their tongues because they are good in persuading innocent teenagers to join them.

Many teenagers nowadays are facing rebellion problems. They think that they are independent enough to stand on their own feet and without their parents’ coaching and guiding. They hope that they could act and think like an adult and prove to the others that they are strong at this stage. They are often having good thoughts at the initial stages but most of them will be hypnotized by the gangsters and change their mindset. They will think that becoming a gangster is a sign of growing up and mature. However, they never know that dangers are just right under their noses.
But, compared to these dangerous places, cyber cafes are safer and healthier because gangsters are not interested in the online games and gamers. Besides, teenagers are able to make friends with people who are sharing the same interest many people think that having friends in school is enough for the teenagers to learn sociality. However the facts told us that this is obviously not adequate because there are only a few having a same hobby with you among your school friends. In order to have a good and healthy mental, having fast friends who are interested in the same things with us will bring a mighty aid. Playing online games will bring this benefit to us ceaselessly and widen our circle of friends and this is undoubtedly marvelous.
No man is an island. Friends are playing a desperately crucial role in our precious lives. Other than that, our government has set a law to the CC owners that children and teenagers wearing school uniforms are not allowed to enter the CCs. A s the old maxim sounds, “Prevention is better than cure”, our beloved government has done a great job to prevent the student to become truants there. Last but not least, entering and playing online games at the cyber cafés are not expensive at all. It is a misunderstanding that it costs a lot to spend scarce time at the CCs. And this has caused many people disagree to let their offspring to enjoy themselves there.
Actually, it is extremely cheap hourly rates of about only RM2 per hour. This will not cost a lot to many medium families. So do not try to use money as a bad reason again. And do not worry about your children’s safety in the CCs. We knew that the public security is worsening now. It is already very dangerous for an adult to walk individually what about the kids! They are even more in a bad circumference to leave them alone at a certain place because they may be the victims of child-stealing like the pity William.
