Information manipulation would be easier in the sense that entering, editing, saving and updating a student’s record would be simple. Transactions would be less time consuming and accommodation of enrollees would be quicker. ? Background of the Study The Pleasant Mount School was established by Mrs. Celia C. Sangalang in year 1982, in their residence’s garage located at #16 Pleasant St. , Virginia Summerville Subd. , Mayamot, Antipolo City. The elementary course was offered in 1986 and after two years, a construction of three-storey building was done to accommodate the enlarging number of students.
In the same year the school library was built. Government recognition was given to Preschool Department in the year 1990. In the next year the Government recognition was received by the Elementary Department and computer subject is offered. In the year 1992 the first year book was made, employment of the first male teacher Mr. Elmerante M. Sadicon, the school hymn was written and it became of the National Elections voting center. The following year PMS is cited as one of the ten best performing schools in the NEAT in Rizal. The name “PLEASANITE” was called for the students enrolled in PMS.
The following years, more buildings were built to accommodate the growing number of students enrolled in the school. In year 1995 the High School course was offered, the birth of the choir took place and Mr. Elmer M. Sadicon was appointed the first Academic Coordinator. Government recognition was given to Secondary Department in the year 1997. The school became a member of City of Antipolo Private School Administrators Association (CAPSAA) in 2005. In 2007 PMS celebrated its 25th Anniversary and in the same year the “text blast messaging system” was implemented for the parents. The school ranked umber one in the 2008 National Career Assessment Examination (2008) in Lower Antipolo School. As of now, their system is non-computerized wherein every records and data are hand written. A form will be provided by the school to be filled up by the student’s personal information and will be passed to the registrar; he/she will be the one to check the form if all the data are correct then he/she will register the student’s information. Verification is also done by the registrar to validate all the information present to avoid any errors. Student’s section will be given by the principal.
