Ernest Hemingway was born in Oak Park, Illinois on July 21, 1899 to the couple of Clarence Edmond and Grace Hall. He was the eldest of six children. Hemingway wrote about his personal experiences in war and in love during his career. His career saw its peak when he was awarded the Nobel Prize for his novel The Old Man And the Sea. Hemingway ended his life with a twelve-gauge shotgun blast to the head at the age of sixty-two. Thump, thump.
