Throughout the years there have been many advances in our medical treatment that give people the ability to live longer and delay death. But the ability to live longer often entails a diminished quality of life for those who suffer from any kind of diseases. But when people are prolonged to suffering from the pain for a long period of time it brings in the factor to start having an interest in euthanasia.

I feel for the people that are all for euthanasia because I wouldn’t want my family member or my loved one to go through the pain and suffering for a long period of time waiting for their death. If we look at life through the patients eyes we could understand how much pain there actually going through. Sue Rodriguez’s who was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease showed that she was in enough pain that she fought all the way to Supreme Court just to die. She says
“If I cannot give consent to my own death, whose body is this? Who owns my life?”
This statement is right though it’s her own body she should be able to do what she wants.
There are also many reasons on why people would be against Euthanasia because it is a deliberate act undertaken by one person with the intention of ending the life of another person in order to relieve that persons suffering. So you are taking someone’s life away from living and that is called murder, so it is bad that everyone turns to this option. Just because someone is in pain doesn’t mean you should take their life away if they are still capable of living in any way.
The Essay on A Way of Life for Searching People
The book Practicing Our Faith: a Way of Life for a Searching People is about addressing the need for sharing the fundamental needs of man to establish faithful and honorable Christian way of life. It explores twelve central Christian practices contributed together by thirteen individuals coming from diverse denominational and ethnic backgrounds. Specifically this book provides significance to ...
I am all for Euthanasia because if the person that is in pain gives permission to be killed than I think you should be legally allowed to go to a doctor and ask to be put down just like you do to your pet or livestock. Euthanasia is bad yes but if your loved one is dying in pain and can’t take it anymore you should be allowed to help them out by agreeing to their request to put them down.
So as you can see both arguments persuaded a good explanation on why Euthanasia should be allowed or not allowed to be legal in Canada. There will be many reasons that will make Euthanasia Legal in Canada but I think it should have a good and reasonable explanation, but there is also a lot of ways that Euthanasia should be illegal because the way you kill the person or if you kill the person without there consent.

Capital Punishment
capital punishment dates back to 1749 and has been in Canada till 1976. To be sentenced to the capital punishment you would have to complete the act of murder. There have been 1,481 people sentenced to death, with 710 executed. Of these 710 only 13 of them were women. The only method used in Canada in nonmilitary contexts was hanging. The last execution in Canada was on December 11, 1962 at Toronto Don Jail.
There are many reasons on why maybe the Capital Punishment should be brought back to Canada and I agree with it. They should bring it back because if someone is a murderer like a serial killer who kills for the enjoyment of killing they should be sentenced to death not life imprisonment because we are still giving them a place to live and free food and everything. We shouldn’t feel bad for the people that kill innocent people.
Besides from the reasons for bringing it back it is also a good thing that it is gone because it stops killing people that were wrongfully convicted of murder. For example the David Milgard case where he was wrongfully convicted of murder for killing a girl in Saskatoon and 23 years later they relies he wasn’t the one who did it. So yes it is a good thing they got rid of Capital Punishment because they would have killed an innocent person. So bringing it back would just cause a lot of law suits because if they would kill innocent people, their families would be really mad.
The Essay on delegate democracy and capital punishment in canada
The issue of capital punishment cannot simply be summed up in a few paragraphs, it is an topic of great debate, over both the issue of deterrence and of conscience. There are few matters which stir such heated debate, there are both abolitionists and retentionists, there are also those in the middle, the people who can discern legitimacy from each group. Each group has a set of beliefs which do ...
I would want to bring Capital Punishment back if they switched the reasons on why they kill them. Like you should have to know for sure that the guy is the one who did the murdering before putting him up for Capital Punishment because I don’t think a person who goes out and kill someone’s shouldn’t be allowed to have a second chance because they gave up a innocent persons life, and were giving them a second chance and a chance to be free again.
Throughout the years that Capital Punishment was around I’m sure there was a lot of cases that the person being charged for murder wasn’t even the one who did it. So that would be the main reason on why it shouldn’t come back to Canada. But there are so many reasons on why it should come back because I wouldn’t want to give a serial killer another chance in the world if all he did when he was in society was kill people for the fun of it.
