Creation vs. Evolution
Through the last few centuries there has been a debate about Creationism and Evolution. The debate about how the earth and all the living being came to exist is the question. There is a very big difference between the two. Creationist believes we were created by a supreme being. Evolutionist thinks we evolved from lower forms of animals. The media makes this a debate about religion vs. science. Evolution is taught in the schools which use to be protested by parents. Now the parents want Creation also taught in the schools along with Evolution.
Charles Darwin, who was born on February 12, 1809, was inspired by the views on evolution by Jean-Baptiste, Chevalier de Lamarck. He paid very close attention to Lamarack in his early days of theorizing evolution. Darwin had several notebooks we had written were full of notes and theories. His earliest notes, which were written in 1837-39, were mostly just thought jotted down, not really theories, or speculation. He began thinking there was two ways of explaining the patterns he saw, there was a natural cause for one species replacing another one. Or God was the one doing the replacements. He could not see why God would replace one set of mammals in one country with another mammal from another country. He could see through natural selection this was possible. The more he studied these two subjects the more he began to discredit the Creation theory. (Eldridge)
The Term Paper on Creation And Evolution An Eternal Debate

When teaching evolution there is a two step method tells us how we came to exist. The first is the “Big Bang Theory” or there was an accidental atomic collision resulted in the shape of simple life forms. Scientists call this “abiogenesis.” Second Darwin’s theory comes into the picture. The simple life evolved over three billionyears into animals, plants and the people we are today. These two concepts are what the “theory of evolution” is. There is no proof which is testable for either of these theories.
When looking for proof on evolution the one thing all the articles and books lead to is Darwin’s theoretical writings. So is this real hard evidence or still just a theory of one man who took the thoughts of others and added to their theories to make these his own. Without proof or hard physical evidence you still only have a theory and not a good one. There are too many holes in this theory. Evolutionist believes the fossils on earth happened over time not all at once. There are a couple of things wrong with this theory, if an animal dies will it just lay on the ground and become decayed and coved with dirt or will another animal eat it first. (CVE)
Another way to explain evolution is species evolve until they reach the perfect population. Then the superior species end up getting rid of the inferior species. There were a couple of people who took this to heart. One of them was Adolph Hitler; he thought he had the right to eliminate over 6,000,000 Jews because he thought they were an inferior race. There were many people who believed Hitler to be right. Sir Arthur Keith came to Hitler’s defense when he said, “The German Fuehrer, as I have consistently maintained, is an evolutionist; he has consciously sought to make the practice of Germany conform to the theory of evolution.”
On the fourth day God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to make seasons and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.” So the sun, moon and stars were created. On the fifth day God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.” So birds and all the sea creatures were created.
On the sixth day God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures who move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth.” This was called man, and then He created a woman so man would not be lonely. On the seventh day God rested. This is the story Creationist believe. (Bible)
The Essay on Catholics And Evolution Theory Species Natural
Catholics and Evolution One of the most important questions for every educated Catholic of today is: What is to be thought of the theory of evolution? Is it to be rejected as unfounded and inimical to Christianity, or is it to be accepted as an established theory altogether compatible with the principles of a Christian conception of the universe? We must carefully distinguish between the different ...
In Genesis chapter three tells us of the fall of man. Adam and Eve can now tell the difference between good and evil. This makes us different from other animals. Humans have a conscious and is aware of their mortality where as other animals do not sit and think about their deaths. They live day to day and just try to survive. (Bible)
Creationist also use chapter sevenin the book of Genesis to help disprove evolution. This chapter talks about a great flood. Evolutionists believe everything was developed over time where as chapter 7 talks of a great flood. This flood covered the whole earth. The Biblesays there were two main sources for this water, “fountains of the great deep” and “the window of heaven.” This could explain why a bunch of woolly mammoths are found together and some even have food still in their mouths.
There has always been a debate in schools whether to teach evolution or not. Now creationist thinks if they are going to teach evolution than they should also teach creationism also. The parents think the students should have both sides of the story. Studies now show 90% of the people wanted creation and evolution taught together or only creation taught.
So the “great debate” still goes on and on and on. After reading all the information and checking the evidence it will be up to the individual to make up their own minds. The government and court system will decide whether the schools teach evolution and creation or just evolution. Creationism will probably not be taught by itself in public schools because of separation of church and state.
