At ten p.m. in our studio the band and I just got word from our record company about the live concert performance to take place in Woodstock, New York. We are a little scared, as a puppy would feel the first time away from its mother, yet pumped for the concert. Seeing as though after July 14 we finally got the band all together with a total of six members; But we still have to practice before the big debut for The Gypsy Suns and Rainbows. Well I?m going to smoke a little joint and then play a few strums on the guitar and then wrap it up for the night.

Today was a very tripey day when we started practicing for Woodstock; I sat down for about four hours trying to figure out which songs would feel the way the feeling should feel during a main event. I’m hoping that with the shrooms, smoking a joint and about five shots of brandy that the practice will go by a hell of a lot smoother than sticking my hand into a bag of nails. If not then I have to get with the rest of the band and discuss the songs with them to see which songs they actually feel like playing or are good to do for a live performance. Well we finally came to a decision of our version of the Star Spangled Banner, Purple Haze, Voodochild, Hey Joe, Foxy Lady, Fire, Killing Floor, Wild Thing, Red House, Tax Free and Spanish Castle Magic. All of which brought about some of the most unusual sounding guitar play the world has ever seen. The reason for my insanity towards my music is that I want the world to here something that they will never forget.
The Essay on Rock And Roll Music Band Woodstock
Music of the 60'the Sixties were an exciting revolutionary period of time with great social and technological change. Some people called it the "decade of discontent" because of the race riots in Detroit and La, and the demonstrations against the Vietnam War. Other people called it the decade of "peace, love, and harmony." It was called this because of the peace movement and the emergence of the ...

Today wasn’t a very productive day towards Woodstock. On the other hand it was full of sitting around and partying. Some girls came over, which looked like hookers from a cheesy movie, with the rest of the band. We started off just free styling on some songs but it didn’t sound anything like the originals, and we just jammed on trying to see what kind of new stuff we could come up with. Seeing as though we were really messed up on, I don’t remember what. During the middle of the jam, my wife showed up so we had to behave a little more than we were before she was there. To get the stress off, and to get away from all the noise that every one was making from trying to talk over the music, and from my wife who was messing with my head, and to just get away from life for a short while. I snuck in the bathroom and took a couple hits of acid.

Today I’m still recovering from a couple of days ago, which right now I feel better than I did yesterday which was that feeling when someone hits you over the head with a two by four. Along with trying to get a hold of our manager to go over what Woodstock is going to look like. And to see where we are going to play and see where the audience is to see where we would be coming through to get onto the stage and off and to see what we have to go through for security reasons. The layout is pretty simple the stage is on the far side and the dressing rooms are going to be off to the left of the stage with guys standing around to make sure that no one gets to us as we walk to the dressing room. The crowd is about twenty feet from the stage with security between them and us.

It’s a day before the trip to Woodstock. My wife and I are getting all packed, with clothes and snacks, and I am pretty sure the rest of the band is too. To past the time after getting packed I took a couple of hits of marijuana just to basically chill and set my mind on the whole thing that is going down tomorrow morning. I am going over my lyrics and riffs to make sure I don’t mess up when I get to play on stage. We are all nerves about tomorrow but it won’t phase me cause tomorrow I plan on getting so ripped that I won’t even be able to see the crowd and I will just be able to feel the music and the rhythm of my guitar.

It is the night after Woodstock, and I feel really pissed off, because of the rain we had to wait to play until 8 a.m. and by that time only thirty thousand people stayed out of the four hundred thousand people who showed up to begin with. During the performance I wanted to put a little bit of my own ingredients into the band by playing The Star Spangled Banner after Purple Haze, which became one of the highlights of the whole night. After we played Hey Joe, for an encore, we ended up walking through the drenched crowd to our little freezing shack, because the highlight was so controversial that I didn’t want to mess with the news media at the end of the show so I cut the show early. That all the bands had to share, seeing as though the community didn’t spend the money to have a dressing room with heat and running water. The shack smelled like dirty gym socks from every one being nervous before going on stage. Well I’m sure as hell not doing one of these ever again.
