Many of us would not be able to get through a day if we left our cell phones at home, much less no electricity at home to power our laptops, iPad, and televisions. However, not having electricity means there is an even more fundamental issue at stake – light. In a world with Iphones, Google Glass, and 3D printers, there are still 1.2 billion people around the globe that do not have access to electricity. An alternative to having light from electricity are Kerosene lamps, which is actually the primary source of lighting for over a billion people around the globe. Kerosene Lamps are a light source that uses kerosene as fuel but have been linked to a number of issues. Kerosene lamps can be a relatively expensive source of lighting, especially for families from developing regions. They cause numerous health issues and are a major contributor to global warming. So why a soccer ball? Many people play soccer. It is the most common sport and hobby worldwide and it is easily attainable. People in this world need electricity and light. So here we have a soccer ball that can be used as a regular ball but can provide electricity and light as well. The soccer ball will come with its own plug-in rechargeable lamp. The ball will also contain a simple USB port so it can also be used to charge other devices.
The Term Paper on Light Pollution Lights People Night
Light pollution happened slowly at first which was several decades ago it was a process that was hardly noticeable. A light here, a light there, burning way into the dark nighttime realm, helping us see in the darkness when people all their our beds fast asleep. The process still continues today, with little thought ever given to what we are stealing away. Our intentions are good but our methods ...
The idea here is not selling soccer balls or encouraging people to play soccer, but it’s taking something that is commonly done worldwide and creating an additional benefit for those who need it. It is a simple and practical concept that can help address three major global issues all at once. Not only will this product provide essential lighting for people without electricity, it can help reduce the usage of kerosene lamps. Minimizing the use of kerosene lamps will be beneficial for both the environment and the people using them. The biggest challenge will be the manufacturing and durability of the balls. However, we are currently in contact with vendors who believe they can provide us with a quality product that will nearly feel and weigh the same as a regular soccer ball.
This also includes the pendulum-like device in the ball that will capture the energy from when the ball is in use. The ball can be thought of as a portable self-recharging energy source. It can be used to supply power to small devices, but as the product develops, it’s possible that it may even be used to power up laptops and tablets. This would provide a great opportunity for homes and education systems that don’t have access to a dependable and reliable energy grid. The product won’t solve the world’s electricity problem, but it’s a step in the right direction. Electricity is everything and it can provide people with a more opportunities and a better life. With the proper funding and initiative, this project can make a difference in the world from the start.
Problems
One of the most basic luxuries that we have today is electricity, which gives us the ability to do countless things from powering a multibillion dollar corporation to reading a book at night. Yet, there are 20% of the world’s populations that still do not have access to electricity. And many of them are from developing countries without the ability and infrastructure to provide practical source of energy for their people. Not only does this mean they have the challenge of finding a useable light source, basic activities such as reading and cooking all become hardened trials as well.
The Essay on People Market Products Ripped
Dear Friend, You " re ripping me off. How? You may be thinking, "We just met. How could I possibly have stolen from you?" But you did! The fact is that you have valuable information inside you. You have golden nuggets that can make other lives better. Maybe you have already developed them into products, services, seminars, newsletters or email lists. But if you do not market your gold, how will ...
An alternative to having light from electricity is Kerosene lamps, which is actually the primary source of lighting for over a billion people around the globe. Kerosene Lamps are a light source that uses kerosene as fuel. It is a simple and popular concept that has been around since the mid 1850’s, so why find an alternative now? First, Kerosene fuel and products are expensive. The families of developing countries are impoverished and may not be able to afford kerosene fuel on a regular basis. Light from electricity is cheap and efficient when compared to the cost of light coming from a kerosene lamp. A study found that the kerosene costs as much as 46 percent more in rural areas than in urban areas1. This can be extremely taxing and financially straining for families as they are required to give up a significant share of their income just to have minimal lighting for their family. Second, Kerosene fumes are harmful to our health and can cause dizziness or nausea. Inhaling the fumes over a long period of time could lead to neurological or kidney damage, including blood clots that can lead to heart and brain damage.
The World Bank states, “living in an enclosed space with kerosene lamps is the equivalent of smoking two packs of cigarettes a day.”2 A recent study led by UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health found that, “women who reported use of kerosene lamps in the home had 9.4 times the rate of tuberculosis compared with those who did not use such lamps.”3 Third, burning kerosene fuel is detrimental to the environment. A by-product of using kerosene fuel is black carbon, which is the second largest contributor to global warming behind carbon dioxide. “One kilogram of black carbon, a byproduct of incomplete combustion, produces as much warming in a month as 700 kilograms of carbon dioxide does over 100 years.”4 Kerosene lamps are extremely inefficient at what they do. It has been estimated that a 7-9% of a lamp’s emission is black carbon, while a diesel engine produces just 0.001%. This fact is often ignored simply because of the small amount of fuel that is used in a kerosene lamp; however this paints a much larger picture when these lamps are multiplied by the 1.2 billion people that rely on them.
The Term Paper on Light Wavelength Effect On The Photosynthetic Rate Of Elodea
Introduction: The rate of photosynthesis varies greatly with changes in wavelengths of light. Light’s colour is determined by its wavelength of light, and thus it is possible to devise an experiment to determine which wavelengths of light are most productive for photosynthesis than others. In this experiment I use a plant called Elodea (pond weed). Elodea is native to North America and it is ...
