When thinking of famous thinkers, people who reached deep into the far spaces of their minds, who used such creativity to imagine a world that seems so science fiction at their present time and then to find a way to make that dream, a reality. The two men who come to mind the most would be Bill Gates and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. These two men used their minds to think of a way to forge a path of innovation, Bill Gates revolutionized the way that our world operates on a technical scale.
If not for Gates who knows where the world would be or if this report would even be possible in the format that it is being typed in. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was also an innovator, he had a dream or a desire to be treated as an equal and to not be judged by the color of his skin but by the content of his character, King had this dream not only for himself but for all man-kind. King led the charge if you will to changing the way we as a society view each other and that is as innovative as it gets.
Starting will William H Gates III, Gates has made enormous contributions to society, ever since Bill was in college and was able to get his hands on a computer he was learning the systems and learning how to program. Bill gates and his partner Paul Allen were the first to men to create an operating system that would be universally abled to be used on any time of computer (except for Macintosh).
The first operating system invented by Gates was called Basic and that was just before he created his company called Microsoft.

Microsoft is now a house hold name, there isn’t anyone in the United States that could hear the word Microsoft and not be able to tell you what that company does. Amongst some of Bill Gates and Microsoft’s other inventions are the operating system MS-DOS as well as future operating systems to include Windows. Amongst Bill Gates other achievement’s and accomplishments are the large amounts of money he has donated to charities, the numbers range well into the billions that he has given. The next famous thinker on our report is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. like Bill Gates, Dr.
King is as well a house hold name, King did not invent anything, or at least if he did that is not what he is famous for. Martin Luther King Jr. was a member of the African American community who fought for civil rights. King had many achievements in his short life time, he received a Bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College and then his Doctorate from Boston University. He also, by the end of his life had 5 honorary degrees and was the youngest person to ever be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had spent time with John F. Kennedy and helped Lyndon B. Johnson campaign for president.
He had been beaten and jailed and yet he stayed committed to the fight for civil rights, up until the time of his death when in 1968 he was assassinated on his motel balcony. Dr. King’s personal and social environments contributed a great deal to his creative process, he had to always think of new speech’s to present and ways to alleviate around situation based on his environment. Martin Luther King spoke over 2500 times and flew over 6 million miles, that type of wear and tear that one would put them self through had to play a great role in a person’s creative process, in most cases the odds were working significantly against Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr. and his journey for civil rights. Bill Gates on the other hand had to deal with social and political environments that would affect his creative process. Gates was an innovator of computer software, he had to design software that was user friendly, software that could easily be used by the average Joe Blow American. Gates was creating a technology that was not only being used by businesses but by the public, and these challenges he faced had to be accepted by the public and also be extremely versatile.

As for the political environment that Gates had to deal with was when Microsoft was being prosecuted by the federal government and allegations were brought up that Microsoft was a virtual monopoly that was denying other companies from being able to compete with their operating system. Due to this political environment Gates had to alter his creativity to allow for competition to be able to compete with in his software and Microsoft was still able to strive. Back to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
the topic of this section is how ideas and solutions were implemented. Martin Luther King used boycotts, as well as speeches and writings to get his message delivered. He organized groups for protests, Kings protest’s however were very civil, he believed that peaceful protests were the way to speak the loudest, he understood that by causing harm and chaos would be counter-productive for his cause and made sure that those who followed him were well aware of what and how things needed to be done to accomplish the tasks at hand.
Bill Gates it seems was a little simpler on his implementation of his ideas, he simply used his skills to create software that would function with the present technologies that were available and continued to make new software and operating systems that would work with new and future systems that were created. Gates’s software was so versatile that it was able to be used by almost all companies that put out some sort of a personal computer.
In conclusion, Gates and King were utter genius’s, their methods were unparalleled and to attempt to determine how they could have done things differently or better would be mistake to even attempt to try. They were and still are the best at what they did, there will always be new people and creative minds finding ways to perfect something or add new types of innovations to the equation but to critique the methods used by these two parties would be a naive move.
