A couple of years ago my family and I went on a vacation to the Great Smokey Mountains. About ten minutes into the trip we got hit by a motorcycle and it completely jacked up our car. We had to get a rental car which was a piece of crap with the smallest engine. We were delayed a couple of days because of the accident but it was finally time for us to leave. A ride that should have taken five hours to get halfway took us nine whole hours.
When we finally got to the hotel they would not even let us swim. That really ticked me off so I went swimming anyway. The hotel manager got really mad and kicked me and my family out; we had to sleep in the van. When we woke up it was about ten o’clock in the morning my dad became furious because we were supposed to leave at seven so we could get there earlier. As we left the hotel parking lot we went to McDonalds for breakfast. We had terrible service, they messed up our order four times not to mention the restrooms were the nastiest looking most horrible smelling restrooms you could ever imagine.
We finally left McDonalds and had clear sailing for about two hours until there was a car accident. We were at a stand still right in front of a gas station but it was not too long before my Dad decided we were going to find another way to take. We ended up getting lost in the middle of nowhere and there was nothing within a mile away then the unthinkable happened we ran out of gas! ! ! We started to push the car toward the nearest gas station when there was a miracle. A guy pulled up next to us and happened to have two gallons of gas and he sold them to us for two dollars each.

We filled the car up and drove to the nearest gas station. We had just enough gas to get there so we filled up all the way. As luck would have it we ended up in front of all the traffic from where the accident was. They still were not letting people through so we ended up saving time. We finally got to the cabin in the mountains where we meet my Aunt Sandy and Uncle David and their kids Michael, Sean, and Carly. We had dinner and went to bed.
The next day my Aunt Barb came and we went to a river ride. Me and my cousins Sean and Michael went in her BMW convertible and listened to G-unit and Ludacris. We finally got to the river and rented are tubes and went down the river. Sean was scared because there were water snakes. We hit some rapids and I fell off my tube and lost it. At the end of the ride I was all scratched up from hitting rocks because I did not have my tube.
We went to dinner at the Alabama Roadhouse which is a restaurant named after some stupid Country band. The next day we went to climb the mountain it started out being real easy but then it just kept on getting steeper and steeper. It was hard for my little cousin Carly and the parents, but we all made it to the top. We had to cross a rope bridge because there was a huge gap between two sides of the mountain. It was really high up and really scary. My sister almost fell off because only one side of the bridge had a rope handrail.
We all made it across. Then we finally made it to the top of the mountain and we sat down to eat lunch in front of the waterfalls when all of sudden a bunch of chipmunks came and started attacking us trying to get food from us. We had to fight them off by throwing rocks and swinging are backpacks at them. On the way down from the mountain my Aunt Barb, my cousins Sean and Michael, and I raced down the mountain. I tripped and fell and rolled down about thirty yards. I was all scratched up so we decided to stop racing.

As we were walking we noticed something next to the trail. It was a baby bear! I went up real close to get a good picture but the cub did not like that and he started to chase me, but I got away. We decide to get away from the cub because we heard the momma bear. When we got home we cooked hotdogs and then packed up to leave in the morning. When we woke up we went straight to the car and left for home. We stopped halfway to stay at a different hotel than before and they let us swim.
We finally got back home and unpacked the car when we noticed there was something in the trunk. We did not know what it was we opened it very carefully and out popped a chipmunk. It wasn’t happy to be so far away from home because it is so cold in Michigan. The chipmunk got in our house so we had to call pest control to get it out. The chipmunk finally was captured and taken out of are house, we unpacked our bags and went to bed.
