TECHNOLOGY in our COMMUNITY Sycamore High School Team Self-Evaluation Keith and I feel that our movie has creativity and originality because we went out into the community to see first hand the changes in technology from past to present. By using Final Cut Pro we added creativity by blending the movie together better by combining visual and audio effects. Our originality came form the fact that we went to a diverse population to get our information. By putting our information together from different points of view we can gather a better idea of what kind of technology there really is in our county. We both agree that our strong point is in our technical abilities in using software to edit our video.
The software that we used to edit the video is advanced and requires a knowledgeable background. Not only does a person who is editing a video have to have an understanding of the software he or she is using, there also has to be a creative side. Having technical knowledge without creativity is like having a drivers license without a car, you ” re not going to get very far. Our creativity and diversity was definitely a key in getting the point across that technology has been progressing in our community. Our video illustrates a technical and social value that shows that our community has been progressing to keep up with the times. From school to court we have realized that people are becoming more reliant in technology, therefore progressing further.
The video tells first hand that our community is moving faster and with less effort due to the current technology. The purpose of our video was to show-off and to investigate how far we have really come with technology in our community. With all of the interviews and first hand accounts of seeing new computers, cameras, and software that is propelling us into the lap of progress. The planning, shooting, and editing took many hours of work. Without good organizational skills this movie wouldn’t have come together like it did. We believe that this is an informative movie because of the varied sources of information.

The appearance of the movie couldn’t have come out any better. Everything in the movie came out as planned, there were not any surprises due to the fact that we wrote everything out in detail before we shot. Knowing what to shoot leaves nothing to chance, everything has to be close to perfect on our shots because of audio problems that can arise during editing. The quality of writing is probably what is expected at a high school level. I hope that we have been clear expressing our feelings and showing how far technology has come in our small community.
