Age difference in today’s society from the perspective of a young, entrepreneurial minded individual can be a detriment to their drive and focus. As corporations are hiring those that are younger to bring energy to the table, the older more experienced employees may find this threatening. Many young, focused people may feel that they are threatening the aura that has dominated in the past with the control of the company being in the hands of those that have experienced more life and have lived long enough to see the fruits and spoils of their own labor. Having this on someone’s shoulders can deprive them of their focus.
Without focus then there is no attitude and without a good attitude then morale drops drastically. In the learning teams, I am the youngest involved in our processes and decisions.
