Some of the nations top researchers, alarmed about the rise in childhood obesity, are calling on Americans to demand a complete overhaul of the way unhealthy foods and drinks are marketed to kids. To fix this concern a lot of people came up with proposals to stop the rate of obesity in children in the United States. Here are just some of the proposals that people and critics came up with, first food companies should stop bombarding children with ads on TV, radio, in magazines and movies for junk food, fast foods and soft drinks. Second they want schools to quit selling these kinds of foods and drinks in the cafeteria, vending machines and school stores. Also they want celebrities to stop hawking these foods, companies like Disney and Nickelodeon to quit letting their characters represent sugary cereals, and also they want fast food chains and food companies to stop pushing huge portions. Well there are also people that don’t believe in these proposals and they don’t think that it is the company’s fault for advertising towards children.
You ever feel like you are free? In the short story “The Story of an Hour,” by Kate Chopin, Mrs. Mallard never has. She had lost her husband in a train wreck. At least she thought she had lost him. Her husband, who was believed to be killed in a train wreck and from Mrs. Mallard hearing this she had the felling of finally being free.
She had mourned him for just a little bit and then felt free. Free from society and free from his control. Now she was able to do whatever she wanted and didn’t have to worry about her husband finding out. In the story “The Necklace” by Guy de Maupassant, feeling free was a little bit different. In this story Mme. Loisel was in the lower bracket of the middle class in society.

Her and her husband got invited to go to a fancy party by Mme. Georges Ramponneau. She had to find something to wear. She ended up borrowing a necklace from one of her friends that had a lot of jewelry. She ended up borrowing the prettiest necklace that her friend had.
At the party Mme. Loisel ended up loosing her friends necklace. So instead of ruining her good name and reputation she ended up work as hard as she could for the next ten years and bought a new one. Once she was done working so hard she felt free because she didn’t have to work so hard anymore. Once she returned the necklace to her friend Mme.
Loisel found out that it wasn’t all real diamonds, it was “paste.” (52) So after that she felt free because the debt was paid off but then she was thinking to her self what she could have had if she wasted her good name and reputation, and didn’t try to buy a great necklace for her friend. In my opinion these stories were pretty good. They were both about two different things. From “The Story of an Hour,” and the wife thinking her husband was dead and feeling free to “The Necklace” when Mme. Loisel would have been free if she could have disgraced her good name and reputation.
