“Ford vs. Firestone”
pg. 26-30
Firestone tires are dangerous. Over 60 lawsuits have been filed dealing with the destruction of the Firestone wilderness AT tires. Many lives have been lost due to this problem. Firestone is trying to place some of the blame on Ford. The problem with the tire is that when driving, the separated tread and the steal belts disconnect from the tire and control is instantly lost from the driver. Ford is trying to be honest about the problem and they said that if they have any fault in the problem they will take full responsibility for the losses.

If I owned a Ford Explorer with Firestone tires I would want to know if they are defective or not. It is the right of the customer to know that the tires they use are dangerous.
Not that I knew allot about Firestone tires, Its just the fact that this product is everywhere in my life. I know so many people with Ford and Firestone products. I am glad that the media has exposed the problems. It is the right of the consumer to know if they own a defective product. I learned from the article that Ford is also responsible for the accidents. There are over 60 lawsuits against the makers. That will be a great loss in revenues. I would like to know more about this product, and how it was changed to make it safer? Maybe they will stop production of these tires? I would also like to see the out come of the lawsuits.
