In my opinion, yes, I believe that if you have the opportunity to protest something, you should. However i also believe that there should be restrictions depending on the current situation. or example i think that people shouldn’t be allowed to protests at funerals.
I believe that the privacy of the family is more important. However i’m not saying that when it comes to personal matters one shouldn’t protest but rather when your rights or morals are affected. Well obviously you’d fight back. you’re being denied your right to free speech (somehow), a right every citizen in this country not only has but is entitled to. now what if something you created something that had such a huge impact that the government had to block an entire website for the the whole country. “innocence of muslims” is highly controversial short film. o controversial that it got the entire youtube website blocked by the government of Afghanistan. now this brings up the question “isn’t this overkill”? in my opinion, yes. this also brings up another question “how much of free speech should be restricted”? , the short film was not made with the intent to offend anyone. i think that people should be able to make films like this as long as there is a disclaimer stating that it wasn’t made with the intent to offend anyone.
