Cosmology is the study of universe as a whole and the foundation of modern cosmology is that at one point in the past all the universe existed in one area. The Big Bang Theory was created to understand and explain how the universe came to be formed.
According to the Big Bang Theory about 15 million years ago there was a giant explosion that pushed all matter in space outward and as the matter cooled it created the universe that exists today. Prior to the Big Bang all matter of space existed in one spot in space and this extremely violent explosion started the expanse of the universe.
There have been discoveries made that have helped to support this theory but the Big Bang is still just a theory as to how the universe came to be. The origin of the Big Bang Theory can be credited to a scientist named Edwin Hubble. Hubble also made a discovery that helps support the theory of a sudden explosion starting the expanse of the universe. Hubble discovered that the universe is constantly expanding.
Hubble also discovered that galaxies twice as far from him were moving twice as fast. Hubble determined that the universe was expanding in every direction. This meant that it takes every galaxy the same amount of time to get back to where it started from. Hubble provided the ground work for the support of the Big Bang theory with his discovery that the universe is still constantly expanding.
Also in the 1960’s two astronomers discovered a noise in outer space that was later determined to be radiation that was coming from all reaches of the universe. The radiation was not coming from just one area but was coming from every direction of the universe which also helps to prove that left over radiation from the Big Bang explosion is still present in the universe.
The Term Paper on The Big Bang Theory
... ball ( Big bang theory, 2009) One of the argument against big bang theory is that universe had its origin as an explosion. However ... that support this theory. Most of the people believe that universe had an origin. Edwin Hubble discovered that ... big bang theory was proposed by scientist and Roman Catholic priest Georges Lemaitre and his called his theory as hypothesis of the primeval atom (Hubble, ...
The Big Bang theory helps to explain how the universe came to be located where it is located and the reason that the universe continues to expand on a constant basis. However, the actual Big Bang explosion cannot be proven to have actually taken place or to not have happened.
The Milky Way galaxy is one galaxy that is located in the universe. The Milky Way is a spiral galaxy that contains an over 200 billion stars. There are separate structures that exist in the Milky Way; one structure is the galactic disk which is where most of the stars in the Milky Way are located. Located in the galactic disk are both old and young stars but also a great amount of both gas and particles.
Another structure located in the Milky Way galaxy is the globular clusters; these structures orbit the galactic center in random directions. The stars that are located in the globular clusters are older than the stars that are located in the galactic disk. There is also little to no gas or particles located within the globular clusters.
Another structure that is located in the Milky Way is a halo. The halo is a large, dark region that surrounds the entire Milky Way galaxy. The halo is formed by hot gas and possibly dark matter. dark matter is a mysterious substance that exists in space. Within dark matter no light is given off and no light is absorbed. Dark matter is suspected to have an extremely strong gravitational pull. It is estimated that dark matter makes up about five times as much mass as ordinary matter. Dark energy is a theory about the energy that is produced from dark matter but has not been proven to exist.
The theory of everything aims to link everything together. The theory wants to link protons to time space to the creation of the universe into one theory that can explain everything that has already been proven and ideas that are still not proven. This theory tries to make everything that has been learned about the universe and things that are still to be learned all fit nicely into one theory about the creation of the universe.
The Term Paper on Big Bang Theory Universe Galaxies Years
Big Bang Theory Fifteen billion years ago, give or take five billion years, the entirety of our universe was compressed into the confines of an atomic nucleus. Known as a singularity, this is the moment before creation when space and time did not exist. According to the prevailing cosmological models that explain our universe, an ineffable explosion, trillions of degrees in temperature on any ...
From the Big Bang theory creating the expanse of the universe form on small area to the constantly expanding universe containing galaxies like the Milky Way to the theory of everything there is still much to discover and prove in our universe.
