Gary and Brandon were very close friends and they both have something in common: they were both teased and harassed and teased and sometimes even physically and verbally abused. High school should be the best times of our lives, and for most of us it is, but not for Brandon and Gary, they were both teased and harassed especially by the jocks who rule Middletown High. Junior and Senior High School can be challenging and sometimes very stressful, and teens usually need support and friends to keep going. But some people like Brandon and Gary didn’t get support they got bullied and physically abused, some people even get abused at home by their parents, all this happening to someone can make them depressed or a teen may turn to drugs or alcohol Being harassed, teased, bullied and being abused verbally and physically and being stressed out can really depress someone. When people are told things like they are fat, gay, ugly, stupid and dumb a person may begin to think that the things being said about them are true, after a while because they never hear anything different. When a teen hears this they may become depressed and turn to drugs and alcohol to try and escape the harsh reality they are in such as Brandon and Gary did every night.

A teen then may think that they are no good and commit suicide. But in some cases a person will have to much anger in them, they want revenge they want to hurt the people that made their lives miserable. A school shooting usually involves other smaller as theft to get a hold of a firearm or unless you are like Gary who made a bomb. Planning is also needed to know what would be the best time and place to pull the gun out you would also need to find where all your enemies are such as a school dance as what Gary and Brandon did. Other Decisions are is this situation worth dying over is it worth killing another person or hurting them is it worth putting your parents through the pain. Will this make people realize that harassment? And bullying and teasing needs to stop to prevent other suicides, school shooting and murder. When a school shooting occurs usually someone always gets killed or hurt, in some fortunate cases the gunmen shoots the school but no one gets hurt. After the gunman has finished the person usually commits suicide or has a mental brake down and gives up.
