The main definition in the paper I have chose to write is Gun Control. Gun control in essence means to stop the wrong people from getting a hold of guns. The law is made to check the backgrounds of all persons attempting to buy and sell guns. If a person has a history of violence, the gun will not be sold to him or her. This makes sure that less crimes with guns will be committed. A weapon of destruction can be a gun.
An automatic rifle, or an automatic shotgun would be classified into this category. These types of weapons can inflict great amounts of damage in very short periods of time. If a person had one, he or she could walk around the streets and obliterate every object that he or she did not like. These are extremely hard to get legally, but there are many of them floating around illegally. A harsher law against them would get rid of a large amount of these destructive weapons. A harsher law means to make the punishment of a crime greater. If laws on gun misuse become stricter, then not so many crimes would happen with them.
People would take better care of the weapons they own, and would make sure nobody could just take the weapon and misuse it. This may prevent a child from getting a gun, because the parents would not take a chance, knowing at least one of them would go to jail if their child got the gun and used it for any purpose. The Bill of Rights is a document that contains all the rights of American citizens. They say what a person can have, and what they can do. If the rights of Americans owning a firearm change, it should not affect any one person to where his or her life would be ruined. If the gun law changes, the rights of Americans will change. In this case, it has an impact on society that appears to be positive. Firearms are any type of gun. The Bill of Rights says Americans have the right to carry a firearm.
The Essay on Gun Laws 2
... He felt that a gun law would keep an honest person honest, but a crook would always get a weapon if he wanted it. ... their guns if a law was passed that forbide ownership of guns ?? Lott has right. More guns, less crime. I like this book. I am American ... 1995). One weakness in the case for gun control as crime control is that Americans use their guns with startling frequency to defend themselves. ...
This should not be illegal, but why not make restrictions on the firearms that can be carried around. For example, carrying an automatic weapon. One of these guns is not used for hunting or protection. These weapons are designed for one reason, to kill people. Yet these guns are still legal for anyone with a gun license to own. The reason for these weapons is strictly because the gun companies sponsor congressmen.
So they do not want the people who sponsor them to get mad. This is ridiculous. Putting the lives of people at risk for money does not make sense. What good is the congress if the people who are represented by it are dead? It should make congress worthless, but instead it appears that the more people who die, the stronger the politicians in congressional positions become.
