Guns protect us when others cannot. Guns give people a sense of calmness when protecting themselves and their families. Guns do many things in the United States, like stopping criminal acts, giving people a sense of protection, and establishes every American with gun rights. It is also known as The Second Amendment. The proposition in our society should be for guns in American and not to be banned. As soon as a person is born into this world they acquire their own rights. One of the rights is called The Second Amendment. “The rights of the people to keep and bear arms shall not infringe…”. The second Amendment guarantees the people a way to defend themselves from dangerous opponents and criminals, who cause harm to them.
Banning guns will take away the protection they have to defend themselves, leaving Americans helpless and scared. It would also ban their right to own or bear gun, terminating their birthright and explains, “To bear arms shall not infringe…”. This describes one of the reason guns should not be banned in the United States. At this point, guns create a senses of peacefulness and protection in society. On June of 2010, 24 states and the District of Columbia had banned Americans from displaying firearms causing an uproar in society. “Those in favor of open carry hold that they are able to protect themselves and unarmed from criminals, and that their right to bear arms and the free of society.” There is a distinction between criminals and innocent Americans displaying their protection is what the people are saying. This is another reason why guns should not be banned in the United States.

Society tries to believe getting rid of guns will lower the rate of deaths, murders, suicides, and criminal acts, but the real point of view is it will not, people kill people, it’s not just the weapons they use. “No discernible, reduction in the lethality or injuriousness of gun violence…” This explanation says that banning guns will not stop the violence that happing in this country and others would find another way to illegally buy guns. However, society has a counterargument about not banning guns, stating guns only cause heartbreak and harm. Guns can cause tragedy, such as the children at Sandy Hook Elementary.
Guns could be an important role, if not banned, in school campus to stop criminals from happening again. This will put an end to innocent children and adults from being killed or injured. Guns should not be banned in the United States. Therefore, if guns are restricted, it would cause a nullification about The Second Amendment. Americans would feel defenseless and fearful instead of feeling equanimity and protected, if guns were excluded from the United States. Guns prevent catastrophe from happening again. Guns should be relevant to American civilization not prohibited. These are the intentions of not banning guns for America.
