I remember the first time I ever saw and heard about global warming. I was probably in the first or second grade at the time. I was watching the TV and a commercial came on, it was a cartoon with two kids and an adult. They were in the park enjoying the day, when the guy started talking about global warming. The kids didn’t know what he was talking about so he fast forwards time and shows them what the earth is going to be like when they are his age. The future earth is barren and desert like. This was my first encounter with global warming. But after a while the topic got dropped and not until recently have I heard much about global warming. I figured it just wasn’t a big deal anymore, until I looked at this website.
After visiting this website and reading about how global warming can kill so many people and bring so much disease also bugs such as the mosquito can give someone a deadly disease or disease such as malaria, cholera, encephalitis, and dengue fever is something I never knew. To me this is intimidating because to know that the mosquito can kill someone or make him or her extremely sick is very unsettling.
All I used to think of mosquitoes were pests that made you itch. As a kid I used to catch the mosquitoes sucking on my blood and I would pinch the skin around the thing and it wouldn’t be able to get away. I used to try to make them blow up by sucking my blood. Now this thoughtless thing I did was for enjoyment; Now that I know it could kill me made me quiver when I read it. It made me quiver because most people think they are harmless little insects that don’t cause any problems besides being an annoying pest. Now they are able to kill a person, all because of diseases that have been introduced by global warming.
The Term Paper on Global Warming A True Phenomenon That Threatens Our Delicate Ecosystem
Global Warming: a True Phenomenon That Threatens Our Delicate Ecosystem It seemed nothing could forecast heat and drought that stroke Mediterranean countries in 2005. On contrary, in March Western European countries were trembling from cold and gloomily cast a glance at dark snowy sky mixed up with rain. People were surprised by so-called global warming. Really, winter turned out to be unusually ...
The warm climate we have is the reason why the infectious diseases are being spread. Just knowing that we have signs of west Nile virus around New Hampshire is bad enough, but with the continuing spreading of this and all these diseases means its closer to my back yard. It just makes me wonder when the other diseases will hit New Hampshire or somewhere close to Manchester because this is my hometown.
All last summer I did landscaping where there are insects all over the place. I’m glad I didn’t read this article last year before going to landscape because I probably wouldn’t have done landscaping then. I will also use bug spray whenever I go outside now. I never used to use it because I didn’t like the smell. Well I’d rather deal with the smell than deal with malaria any day.
I’m glad that the temperature in New Hampshire does not get to warm during the summer. We do have our spurts of hot weather that could cause a lot of mosquitoes to come up to New Hampshire. Looking at the chart of the current death rates in certain cities from global warming, it makes me wonder what it will be like in five years never mind in twenty years. A lot can occur in the next five years; maybe we will find a ways to help protect the atmosphere. We have to put government money into finding ways to reverse global warming. Also we can help out in many ways by recycling, driving less, using products that don’t hurt the ozone and concerning energy and resources that we have.
On the mosquito and insect problem we need to start in our backyards. Standing water is a mosquito breeding ground. So we need to make sure to get rid of any standing water. Also the government has already taken action by using chemical sprays to ward off mosquitoes. But still the only way we can take care of this problem and any other is together.
