The Head Boy’s valedictory speech on the graduation of Zang Commercial Secondary School Bukuru, Jos, Plateau State Nigeria Here we stand today… Principal ————–, members of the school board, teachers, parents, friends and fellow graduates, it is an honour to speak before you this day. You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look at fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself ‘I have lived through this horror; I can take the next thing that comes along.
You must do the things you think you cannot do – we are standing on this ground to day as living heroes. To accomplished great things we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe. Six years ago we came into this Nobel school with tear and fear on our faces but today we are here standing giants. To my co-graduates we all must admit that this training ground has equipped us to deduce that “in any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing. We have gathered here today to bid farewell to the graduating students. I am indeed honour to be given this opportunity to present these future leaders graduating today. Just when we start to get comfortable with a person, something comes to alter the recipe. In this little time we have indeed worked closely together to organise various school activities which has helped us forge close ties of friendship. And now, before we know, it’s time to say ‘Adieu’. The Bible says “to everything there is a reason and a time to every purpose under heaven”.
The Homework on The Problem With School Systems Today
From grades 1-5 students are actually “students”. They enjoy coming to school for the purpose of learning. The students are taught valuable lessons and actually retain this information. Upon entering middle school students are blindsided with a new array of teaching methods. ...
This speech will make no sense without expressing our hearty appreciation to the principal of this school for his fatherly wisdom do guide and direct. The teachers are great and worthy of kudus for their zeal and passion to make us better. The members of the school board cannot be over emphasized in the history of our success today. We do pray that the Almighty God will give you grace and blessings accordingly. My speech is as good as empty without addressing the younger once coming behind us; we admit the fact that we will miss you.
We do hope that you will climb up to the top of the ladder as we have done today. I want to tell you all today that “it’s choice – not chance that determines your destiny” understand this that “success is never final. Failure is never fatal. It is courage that counts. You cannot teach people anything. You can only help them discover it within themselves; however you never achieve real success unless you like what you are doing. In essence cooperate with all the resources available in this school and love all you do, the sky is your starting point.
In conclusion, may I take the liberty to give a piece of advice? Life is series of events, both good and bad. No matter how deft your organizational skills, there will always be life influencing factors over which you may have no control. Be focus, be determined, and be yourself. We all promise to make you proud. “Change indeed is painful, yet over needful”, said Thomas Carlyle. Farewell, parting is such sweet sorrow that I and my colleagues shall say “Goodbye” till we meet tomorrow. We are going to miss you very much. We pray that God will guide and guard us all. Thanks.
