I see life very much the same way I saw football, when I used to play on my high school football team. The two have similar situations that can be compared, metaphorically speaking. There are many obstacles, hurt feelings, “friends” that have come and gone, however, there are also many happy feelings, memories, and much excitement. Stepping out into the real world for the very first time not knowing what to expect can be a scary experience. Like the first time I stepped on campus at Claremont High School, I was terrified of my surroundings. I had no clue of what to expect.
This is similar to a football players standpoint; coming out of the locker room, and stepping on to the playing field, not knowing what to expect of the other team. Playing a football game play by play, is also a strategy for life. A person must learn to deal with things as they come. Because the truth is, is that you know what the world will hit you with next. Part of this deals with that fact that sometimes people win, and get what they want, however, this is not true about everything, people must also lose at one time or another, which in turn means that one must settle for something less then planned, or maybe even nothing at all. I speak form experience; when I was a freshman, we where playing Chino High School, for the Baseline League Championship, I was positive we would come out victorious, however, we lost.
It broke all of our hearts to lose the one.
