Do you conceive the idea of the person sitting next to you will be more successful than you? I don’t think so, Cicero once said that the six mistakes of men were: 1. “The delusion that individual advancement is made by crushing others” 2. “The tendency to worry about things that cannot be changed or corrected” 3. “Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it” 4. “Refusing to set aside trivial preferences” 5. “Neglecting development and refinement of the mind and not acquiring the habit of reading and studying” 6.
“Attempting to compel other persons to believe and live as we do.” These Statements are strong, but they are real, even though we don’t want to accept them, we have to live with them everyday because our success is the failure of someone else. Everyday we turn our heads to see the person that is better than us without realizing what we are. We commended the wrong actions around us but also we made them and we are thinking how to screw the person that it’s above us. Unfortunately, this our nature we can’t accept that anyone succeed, we want to see them fail so that they come up with us begging for help, we like to feel pity for someone and the fact that someone is better than us make us vulnerable. Since the beginning of our lives we are being teach to love, to respect, to tolerate, but when we grew up we realize that this idea is just a dream that kept us apart of our goals and if you want to move on you have to be aggressive, to be better than the others no matter what, This leave me a blank space, what do we have to do with all the things that they show us when we were kids.

Why can’t we all be friends and fight altogether against the bad things in the world or only accepting the fact that everyone is different and learn to live together? I think doing that goes against our nature, we need to have the control of the complete situation and impose our conditions, and we can’t accept the others we have to change them or simply exterminate them. The clearest example is the wars between religions or a war between countries. All of our history is full of wars because we haven’t learned to live together and we have to put our conditions above them and if they don’t accept them they are exterminated. The inquisition is one of the deadliest crimes committed in the story of the mankind and there is no coherent explanation to that lack of tolerance.
The wars that are being held since our ancestors is just a fight for power and hegemony and nowadays with the technology have the power to leave us to our extermination. The idea of controlling the others is our most clear example of greed, we are greedy by nature we don’t need the control of the situation but we want it and nothing can’t end that thirst of power, we just see it happen like if it was something normal, without realizing that we are near extermination because of our greed. I am not talking only as nations but as human beings the world is too small for us, nothing is enough for us, money has become one of the biggest expressions of greed but its not the only one, but how can we fight this if it’s the only way to succeed its against us we are being puppets of our own greed and there is no way to fight it. Also the prejudice that we have made of the things that are good or bad has never been the correct, the higher crimes committed in mankind have end unpunished and this the example that we have from our humanity, that no matter what you do if you have power you don’t have to worry of nothing, we don’t have a remorse of conscience or even if we had one we know how to control it and end up trashing everybody like if its normal. But how we become so insensitive and so deadly? No one can tell but it’s a fact and we cant blame the technology or the money or the power, We have to blame us because since the begging of the mankind it has been this way, the only difference it’s that now we are the ones that are living this disillusion about the mankind. Like Napoleon once said “There are two levers for moving men interest and fear.” That it’s true you only care of someone when he has something to give you if not you ignore it, and the biggest alliances are made by mutual interest.
The Essay on War Power
The constitution divides the war power between the congress and the President, in article I, section 8 the constitution says; ‘That congress shall have power …to declare war. ’ and in article II, section 2 it says; ‘ The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of United States. ’ The founders divided the power in my opinion for the reason that they don’t want to make the ...
Like I say before, the war is the best representative of human nature, it represents what we really are, what we are searching. But what makes the humans go to a war if it’s not because of greed and the lack of tolerance or even worst, the pride of a person. But what can we do the democracy led us to this the hands of a country concentrated in a group of persons that only think in themselves and in how to fill the thirst of power, now I ask is the right thing, is this normal. Because when we have seen the worst a ray of hope fills a person heart and throws away all the prejudice and do what its better for the humanity, But why should we believe in hope if all the actions tell us the opposite? We have to do it if not we already be death.
I want to close this by saying that in our hands is the future to proof that mankind is moved by love, hope, and respect and I want to end up quoting John Steinbeck “It has always seemed strange to me… the things we admire in men, kindness and generosity, openness, honesty, understanding and feeling are the concomitants of failure in our system. And those traits we detest, sharpness, greed, acquisitiveness, meanness, egotism and self-interest are the traits of success. And while men admire the quality of the first they love the produce of the second.”.
