Human Resources Planning After the transition to the 21st century paradigm of business, leadership and collaboration have become the most important factors that shape the ongoing human resources planning of the business. At the same time, the reinvention of organizations continues to call for new, less hierarchical management styles with increasing employee empowerment. The business world is now at a new threshold of downsizing business environments. If leadership is going to be the necessary part of employee training, what will it look like and what changes in the organization are required to bring it about? Because of the negative attitudes of some of the employees towards training and development, it would be rather problematic to train leadership skills in the employees, and it would totally depend on the way the trainer addresses the issue. Gone from the languages are the four old Cs of leadership: Command, Control, Compartmentalize, and Cope. In its place, four new Cs have assumed dominance; Communicate, Collaborate, Coach and Catalyze. Whats the need for the new leadership? The key question is why is the old leadership style of command and control under attack in both public and private sectors? The answer is a combination of several factors: changing organizations, changing work, changing workplace, changing people, and a changing society.
As organizations reflect the changes of corporations, we must adopt and approve this dramatic transition. This is a trend, an indication of what is going on in the community, and the trainer would certainly need to do his/her best to convey that message to the employees. The old terms of boss and subordinate are now being replaced with the new terms of strategic partners and colleagues. The new leadership training will consists of new behaviors and new roles for all to become involved. The new leadership will consist of sharing these behaviors and roles. While there may continue to be a small number of Born leaders, there certainly will not be enough of them to lead and manage our society in the new century.

This is why training leadership in employees is a crucial focal point of studied knowledge in business administration. Definitely, not everyone is capable of becoming a leader, someone who is able to coordinate the activities of a huge corporation and motivate all the employees in such a way that performance raises dramatically. It is especially true in the 21st century, since there are a lot of inherent tensions, which exist in the new business environment. First of all, as most of the corporate leaders have realized that cooperation rather than authoritative style of management is the key to success within a company, a lot of problems start to arise in terms of authority delegation and responsibility handling. Not all the managers and leaders are willing to delegate the authority to an extent when the employees are becoming the primary decision makers in a lot of the questions, and not all the employees are willing to accept the increased responsibility for making those decisions. In order to train the employees, the trainer would need to develop those qualities in them, and it is his/her responsibility to come up with various sorts of workshops and programs to do so.
The authority delegation problem is that a corporate leader is rarely aware of exactly how much responsibility every one of his employees is able to handle. As the competitive business environment requires really fast decision making at all the levels within the corporation, almost everyone in the company should have enough skills and courage to respond in a quick and efficient manner when something drastic happens. It is especially true when the situation can be used in order to increase the profit margins and the market share for the company. Good leadership within any organization means that the corporate leader is able to coordinate the efforts of all the employees in order to achieve maximum rate of performance. Words Count: 649..
