To clarify the resolution I offer the following definitions: -Human Space Exploration: the investigation of physical conditions in space and on stars, planets, and other celestial bodies through the use of artificial satellites satellite, artificial, object constructed by humans -Preferable: more desirable or worthy than another; preferred -public sector Investment: the part of an economy that consists of state-owned institutions, including nationalized industries and services provided by local authorities -private sector Investment: the part of a country’s economy that consists of privately owned enterprises First, there is a widespread agreement among the public and private sector investments that NASA does not have the resources to do all of the things it has been asked to do. Truth be told, there is not much confidence among these sectors that the political process within Washington will give NASA what it needs to succeed. The government does not have enough money to consistently fund the space exploration in public sector due to the budget deficit the United States is currently facing. In private sector investments, the money would be coming in consistently. The time for businesses to take over is now. According to space policy consultant Jim Muncy, the $500 million Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) program, a private sector investment, represents a breakthrough in NASA, towards space operation.
The Term Paper on International Space Station First Nasa Project
International Space Station The International Space Station, a worldwide project, is the next goal in a quickly growing space frontier. The station will be the first and next step towards researching the vast unknown world of outer space. What will be learned by this station? NASA has only the highest hopes that with the newest advancements in technology up in space, the fundamental physical, ...
It offers the private sector a chance to do what only Russia does now: resupply the International Space Station. By resupplying the International Space Station, the human space exploration would have the resources to continue its experiments and investigations. It was stated by private sector investments that “Taxpayer-funded research makes absolutely no sense” and the current vision for Space Exploration to continue would be “to get off the government dole. ” To get private investment funding, action needs to be taken. If so, then Mars itself could and would be settled by private citizens before NASA. Space enthusiasts should “give up on government. It [the private sector] can’t get hooked on government money. ” —————————————————————————————————————————————– Neg:, that private entrepreneurs need to prove their abilities through success first. Prior to the award of COTS, no small aerospace company out of the current group of aspirants has yet launched a payload to orbit National deficit, the government doesnt have enough money, NASA just ended their space program since funding was not available Once the Shuttle is retired and CEV begins operations, advocates and entrepreneurs will most likely see a mixed space economy: one where government does the more difficult activities, like flying first to the Moon and Mars, while the private sector–both the aerospace giants and the newcomers–slowly builds a respectable commercial presence in Earth orbit.
