Every where I go in my home, I cant help but stumble on an article that pertains to hunting. This includes all the things my father, my younger brother and I all own. These things include hunting magazines, movies and clothing. When people think of hunting, they think of going out in the woods in sometimes unusual weather conditions. Well, that is part of the fun of hunting. Hunting is about planning for the next season when one season ends. Planning is the worst part of the trip because you need to figure out who is going with you and all the other annoying little details.
Packing is more of using your imagination; deciding if you should bring your orange suit or your camouflage suit. Then you call up your buddies and plan on where you’re going to sleep and hunt. Are you going to stay at someones cabin, or rent out one for the season? If you rent out one, you must figure out who will pay for what, and you must make reservations. Then there is the one time when almost all guys go shopping together. No, not for Boston Stores 8 hour sale, more for stuff like guns and hunting clothes. O.K., Ill get to the point. Youre not really going out into the woods to kill little critters or deer.
We actually go out into the woods to be alone with just the guys, and to make up stories to tell everyone. Hunting is about spending time together with your friends, or being with your dad. Its sort of like a guy’s way of bonding. When I was 12 years old, my dad took me hunting for the first time. I was so proud to wear the blaze orange like all of my dad’s buddies. I felt as if I was one of the guys.

Hunting is also a chance for hunters to save up their money so they can fix up their guns. Then at the next hunt, they can show off their new guns. This usually is a big thing between hunting buddies. So, as you can see, hunting is not just about killing things for fun. Its a sport in which fathers and sons can bond in a way that they might not be able to without it. When the son grows up, he will always have the memories of his first hunt with his father, and all of the fun times they shared during that hunt.
