Imaginative Essay- To Kill A Mockingbird!!
It was my birthday and I was turning six years old. No one remembered it was my birthday until when I was returning from school. I went past the Radley house where I saw a small shiny box in the knot hole. Jem wasn’t with me at that moment. I decided to go and take the small gift box. I quickly shoved it in my pocket and ran home to the front porch as fast as I could. I went straight into my room and started examing the shiny box when Cal called “Scout come’n get your food!” I left the box where it was and ran to Calpurnia.
While I was eating I asked Calpurnia and Atticus if they were forgetting something really special today. They both replied, “No.” I was really sad that no one remembered my birthday.
Dill had come to visit then because his summer vacations had started. He had arrived 2 days ago. Jem arrived home with Dill. They both seemed really happy and lost in their conversation until I asked Jem what made them so happy “Oh nothin’ special you need to know and you should learn to mind your own business.”
“Nome, I have had enough of you. You and Dill never tell me anything!”
We then started arguing when Atticus screamed at me saying “That’s enough young lady, now go to your room”
Without saying a word I ran off to my room and had slammed my door as hard as I could. I then continued examining the shiny box. I soon found a cute little watch exactly my size. There was also a small note. In that note it said “Happy Birthday Scout!” When I was trying on my watch I could hear someone’s footsteps approaching my room. I could hear my door being locked. I quickly ran towards the door and tried to open it but it was locked. I screamed and yelled, “ Open the door, please!”
The Essay on Madison Door Runs Treat
Her long, soft, golden retriever yellow tail swoops from side to side like windshield wipers, trying steadily to clear the rain. Her neatly trimmed yellow paws leave the ground again and again as her fifty-five pound body jumps up and down almost at a rhythm. Drool runs down the sides of her wide open, panting mouth like water running out of a faucet. Finally, the anticipation over comes her. She ...
“ You could’ave thought of that when you were talking in such a rude manner. Your staying locked in the whole afternoon! Understand!”
I ended up crying with my face down against the pillow thinking that this was the worst birthday ever. Soon after a while I fell asleep.
About two hours later, Atticus woke me up. He told me to go and get ready.
“I’m sorry sir, I won’t do that again but you really forgot something today” “I am sure I haven’t forgotten anything today, just quickly get ready and come outside” “Are we going somewhere?” “No, just do what I told you!”
Atticus sounded really happy but really angry at the same time so I quickly got up and got ready. As soon as I stepped out of my room, I saw my whole neighbourhood. They all screamed at the same time, “Happy Birthday Scout!”
I was so excited and happy. I had thought everyone had forgotten my birthday. They had organised a surprise party just for me. Soon Jem and Atticus came up to me and apologised for being rude, they said they planned it too think that they had actually forgotten my birthday.
Everyone slowly came up to me and gave me presents. I was so happy to see all the presents. Calpurnia took all the presents off me and put it my room. I said thanked her.
We then cut the cake. Everyone had some food to eat. Atticus had put on some music and everyone started dancing. I was surprised to see Atticus dancing. I had never seen him go so wild. It was getting very late so many people started leaving. Soon everyone had left. There was a big mess in the house and Jem had to help clean up. I didn’t because it was my birthday but I decided to help. After an hour or so we finished cleaning and Atticus told us to go to bed.
When he was tucking me in.
I said, “Sir, thank you. It was the best birthday ever!” “ Your welcome. Now, Goodnight. Sweet Dreams” “Goodnight, Sir”
