After looking over Matthew’s Implementation plan I can see that it is well thought out and comprehensive. Every area of the assignment was followed. I think that the portion of the paper that stands out is the great deal of thought and precision that is in the project timeline. The timeline is very in depth and even allows for a small window of extra time, if needed. Areas of improvement would be more detail on the scope items. Had questions about who would create test/automation scripts, for example. Project budgets are typically broken down by SDLC phase in my experience as well as by line item. The only thing that I can see that needs improvement would be spelling and grammar. If this were actually being presented to a company’s CEO, it would not look very good with punctuation and grammar errors in it. Robert Smith
After reviewing Roberts’s content minus a couple area’s is well thought out and well organized. Project looks to be scoped out very well and all the major milestones are laid out. Project is full of detail and information a company would require when looking at a project. The scope does not tell us how many computers are considered in scope to know if the project timelines are realistic. Timelines of project seem very compressed and unrealistic because lack of scope clarity. Robert’s project plan should not be missing a budget; even if you have not worked through all the numbers, you should have something as a placeholder. Couple keys points; I do not believe programmers can complete a new software in ten days, unless you are paying them close to $200 a month.

JOSH PHILLIPS
When reviewing Josh’s Implementation plan it is evident that he put a lot of time and effort into the assignment. It is very difficult to pick any one area that he did not do very well. I think that the area that I see as standing out the most would be the utilization of graphs and the dashboard images to accent the MOV and ROI sections. These sections were very comprehensive and the images only made the sections that much better. Could use some more out of scope, general statements can lead to things getting added at the last minute because they were not out of scope. Found it hard to understand the project right off the bat, it wasn’t clear what you were doing for Huffman trucking. JEFFREY QUALLS
Upon review of Jeffrey’s Implementation plan I see that it is done well. I think that the portion that I think was done best was the implementation and continues maintenance portion. It is well thought out and logical. I do believe that most of the sections could be much more in depth. Project Stakeholders needs more stakeholders, such as the users, CIO, or anyone that’s affected by the database upgrade. One thing that we believe could be improved upon would be the section on Quality issues. There is not any quality issues stated and quality is a very important aspect of any IT project. ROI should have a real calculated dollar value based on the project cost and the return the project will provide or it should not be approved. Project costs are not well thought out, as there is not project that would have the exact it spend in each phase of deliver. The final element I would highlight is the lack of a test plan which would be critical to any project success.
REBECCA GENTRY
Rebecca’s Implementation plan is well thought out and well written. Areas of improvement for the plan include more depth around project stakeholders. The MOV section should have clear guidance on ROI. Projects should only be justified if they have a return on the investment without other guiding principles. The project scope should not only point out what is in scope, but also what is not in scope like other sites beyond the main extranet page. Test plan seems lite and should be more substantial for such as critical information portal to the company.

The group voted and we all picked Josh’s plan as the best Implementation plan. His was well thought out, answered all the assignment, and would be something you could hand a board member and roll with it.
