This impressed him and he wrote “India 2020: A vision for the New Millennium”. Like our former president, I too have a dream. I dream of how my India should be.
I think of India with a sound government. A government which is not just of the people and by the people, but really for the people is needed. India, where globalization and domesticity are properly balanced, the government must channelize the available fund towards the progress of the nation.
Agriculture which is the backbone of our Indian Economy should contribute more to the country’s GDP. For that, importance should be given to agriculture sector. Integrated Childhood Development Service (ICDS) program should be effective in India to improve the health of the children in the country and there should be no traces of malnutrition. Instead, they should not panic that if they help, they would be asked to come to the Police Station & Court and they would become witness. Sitting and mourning is of no use. Every minute could save life. And also, if any injustice happens, the public should have courage of going to the police.

Thorough check must be made in railway stations as well, so that people do not carry inflammable material with them. Also, proper attention must be paid to air and other accidents, so that they do not occur in the future. On june 24, 2012, a five year old girl called Mahi died inside the borewell. Casualties like this have to be prevented by educating the workers.
Like some gulf countries, India should have strict laws. Harsher punishments and speedier justice must be given to perpetrators, if he/she is found guilty of committing the crime. For instance, Ajmal Kasab, the man who was involved in the 2008 Mumbai attacks was caught red-handed by the police. After enquiry, he must have immediately hanged to death. Instead, the government had spent so much money and gave protection to him for years. Also, punishments must be enhanced to rape and molestation cases. Death penalty and chemical castration for sexual offenders must be given through amendments in central acts. It should be made a non- bailable offence. Not only sexual harassments, but also the other heinous crimes like corruption should be made non-bailable.
