• Our India is in danger because of its corruption and poverty. Most of the politicians are corrupt and have black money and it is a very bad thing because it is income illegally obtained or not declared for tax purposes. To change India we should help to stop Poverty and Corruption.

• Corruption in India is a major issue that adversely affects its economy. A study conducted by Transparency International in year 2005 found that more than 62% of Indians had firsthand experience of paying bribes or influence peddling to get jobs done in public offices successfully. In its study conducted in year 2008, Transparency International reports about 40% of Indians had firsthand experience of paying bribes or using a contact to get a job done in public office. In 2012 India has ranked 94th out of 176 countries in Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index, tied with Benin, Colombia, Djibouti, Greece, Moldova, Mongolia, and Senegal.
Black Money
• n India, Black money refers to funds earned on the black market, on which income and other taxes have not been paid. The total amount of black money deposited in foreign banks by Indians is unknown. Some reports claim a total exceeding US$1.4 trillion are stashed in Switzerland.Other reports, including those reported by Swiss Bankers Association and the Government of Switzerland, claim that these reports are false and fabricated, and the total amount held in all Swiss banks by citizens of India is about US$2 billion.In February 2012, the director of the Central Bureau of Investigation said that Indians have $500 billion of illegal funds in foreign tax havens, more than any other country.In March 2012, the Government of India clarified in its parliament that the CBI Director’s statement on $500 billion of illegal money was an estimate based on a statement made to India’s Supreme Court in July 2011.

• Poverty in India is widespread, and a variety of methods have been proposed to measure it. The official measure of Indian government, before 2005, was based on food security and it was defined from per capita expenditure for a person to consume enough calories and be able to pay for associated essentials to survive. Since 2005, Indian government adopted the Tendulkar methodology whichmoved away from calorie anchor to a basket of goods and used rural, urban and regional minimum expenditure per capita necessary to survive.

According to the survey,more than 50 percent of the young say it’s the worst time for job-hunting as the economy is worse now than it was after the 2008 global financial crisis. In fact,more than 40 percent said they would take a pay cut if that improves job security. Is there any light at the end of the tunnel? No, at least not until the next Lok Sabha polls, feel experts. Experts, in fact, say the situation could get worse, if business sentiment doesn’t improve in the next six months and if the Lok Sabha 2014 results are not as expected.

Not only corrupt politicians, but also musclemen like Pappu Yadav have entered our legislatures so much so that a person like the late Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujaral had once remarked in Parliament that he had to look over his shoulders to look whether there was a criminal sitting in the benches behind him or not.
