John walker: Enemy to America John Walker, The name makes me sick. This guy joins up with the Taliban knowing what they did to thousands of Americans on September 11 th. Do the senseless killings make one want to fight for the enemy? Any real American would tell you, “NO!” . This guy is a disgrace to America and I think should be punished accordingly. So what does one do to a man like this? Some think he should be tried and executed. Others think he has a right to do what he pleases.
But one must remember, by fighting with the Taliban, directly or indirectly he is trying to bring harm to America. Maybe when he shoots down an American solder people will realize what a threat he is. What if we decide to let him go unpunished? What does that say about America? That we are a country that lets traitors get away with what they please? Would you sit back and do nothing if your close friend back stabbed you in a way that was meant to do you harm? Of course you wouldn’t! I’m not sure if anyone realizes but when someone does something there is always a certain amount of copy cats. Maybe, as far fetched as it might sound, there will be followers. People who are desperate enough to get there 15 minutes of fame by being the bad guy might make that step. Maybe Walker gave the green light on going to the other side to some mad people angry at the government.
The whole thing makes you think what it would be like on the other side. Maybe some sick Americans take the next step and join the Taliban. Well the only thing bad enough for this man is death. And hopeful President Bush will decide so. This man is nothing more that a hateful rebel out to get America. Being as that is, we have no choice besides serving him justice..
