Josef Mengele aka angle of death aka the white angle was born march 16, 1911 the eldest of 3 children to Karl and Walburga Mengele in Gunzburg Barvaria Germany in 1935 Mengele earned a PHD in anthropology from the university of munich. In January 1937 he became an assistant to Dr. Otmar Freiherr von Verschur, was a leading scientist know for his genetic research with twins and also studied un Theodor Mollison and Eugen Fischer. in 1939 Mangele married Irene Schonbein
Mengele joined the Nazi party in 1937, and got his medical degree and joined the SS had an only son Rolf born on March 11, 1941, later volunteered to the medical. Latter that month he was awarded the iron cross 2nd class and then was awarded the iron cross 1st class for saving two soldiers from a burning tank
In may 1943 Mengele replaced a doctor who was ill at the Nazi extermination camp in Auschwitz and latter became the medical officer. During his 21 month period in Auschwitz Mengele was referred to as the white angle by the inmates because when he inspected new prisoners his white coat and white arms spread like an angle, he took turns with other SS officers inspecting the prisoners for who would work and who would be sent to the gas chambers immediately. He also would come frequently in search of twins for his research experiments. He drew a line in Auschwitz for children twins and if they weren’t tall enough 150 centimeters they would be sent to the gas chambers “He had a look that said ‘I am the power,’” said one survivor. When it was reported that one block was infested with lice, Mengele ordered that the 750 women who lived inside the dormitories be gassed

Mengele used Auschwitz as an opportunity to continue his research on heredity(when cells are passed down from parents/assertors) using prisoner children twins (mostly identical twins) he had a Jewish assistant pediatrician and a Hungarian Jewish pathologist. Mengele took interest in to abnormalities that included dwarfs, some of Mengeles experiments also included his attempts to try and change eye color by injecting chemicals into children’s eyes, and also different amputations of limbs and many other surgeries.
In October 1943 he preformed sterilization and shock on girls that would mostly die after from infection. The biggest studies he did was on twins after experiments on twins they were usually killed and there bodies dissected. He supervised a operation where two Roma children were sewn together to become conjoined twins When he came to talk to the children he called him self uncle Mengele and offered them sweets, he was also called Mengele the protector
He also preformed surgery on pregnant women before sending them to the gas chamber

The SS abandoned Auschwitz in 1945 he fled to Aires in 1949 they got divorced, she continued to live in Germany with there son as he lived in Aires and married Martha Mengele widow of his dead brother and her son Karl-heiz Mengele, he Died February 7, 1979 in Sao Paulo, brazil age 67.
