Kristy?s Great Idea is a book about a teenage girl and a small group of her friends. Kristy comes up with an idea that might change all of their lives. It was a muggy Tuesday around dinnertime, when Kristy?s mom needed a baby-sitter for her son. She ended up calling all over town only to find the solution right in her own family. She would have to send David Michael with Kristy on her baby-sitting job.
Kristy had a brilliant beyond brilliant idea! She would put a baby-sitting club together. All of her friends would be in it. They would meet several times a week and people would be able to call one number and reach four sitters. Her friends loved baby-sitting and taking care of kids, so why not make megabucks doing it? They decided to advertise by using fliers and the newspaper. Then they chose officers for their club. Kristy, of course, was the president. They decided to meet three times a week for a half hour. Pretty soon they were getting calls like crazy. After each sitting job, the members were required to write about the happenings of the job. This was to inform the other members about the clients. Although the members disliked writing in the journal, it was a club rule. They soon planned a pizza party. But the day before they found out that some things about each other. They learned a little information from the other members and even themselves. They had their fights here and there, but in the end, all was well. They kept up the business and after their disagreements, they soon became the very best of friends doing what they love, BABYSITTING!
