For this lab, you will need the external USB wireless adapter for your PC. Using the virtual machine, connect the device to the PC, right-click its icon in the VMware icon tray, and then choose Connect (Disconnect from Host).
A sample of this tray and its available icons is shown in Figure 6-1.

The netsh command by itself will open the interactive mode for the command to allow you to enter individual commands for netsh. You can use the following command to determine the available contexts (used similar to command arguments) in netsh:

Lab 6.2 Review
1. Broadcast channels are an essential consideration in wireless devices. Any devices broadcasting on the same channel will have to share that channel for communication. Why would it be a bad idea for multiple wireless networks (owned and managed by different individuals or compa- nies) to share a channel within the same broadcast radius? Use your textbook and Internet research to support your answer.
The biggest problem would be collision if multiple routers are using the same channel a common example of this is Comcast routers are set to use a channel close to the signal for the ps3 so you get a depredation of signal and loss of data packets as the connection goes on.
