About Us
Allan Yarahmady: Allan was destined for greatness. He got stealer marks (like 100% in Biology), and was the most popular person in the entire school. Everyone wanted to be him. He graduated as valedictorian and later went on to medical school and soon after became the best surgeon in the world. He developed many new surgeries that saved peoples’ lives. Some recognized him as a God. But he, being the humble Lord that he is, knows that he is human and like everyone else. And that is what makes him so wonderful.
Kenny Tran: Kenny has always exhibited signs of excellence since birth. He was the second best student at Victoria (behind Allan) and graduated with Honors with Distinction. He went on to become the second best doctor in the world (behind Allan yet again).
Despite this, he is the go-to person in his field and is a truly spectacular person.

The Essay on Lactose Intolerance
The topic I chose to research was lactose intolerance. Lactose is the natural sugar found in milk. Lactose is made by joining a molecule of glucose with one of galactose (Willett 101). We are born with the enzyme lactase, which digests and breaks down the lactose. Some people do not digest lactose well due to a lack of lactase or their body may make lactase that does not work properly. Not all ...

Lactose Intolerance and You

What is Lactose Intolerance?
If you are lactose intolerant, that means that you cannot digest lactose. The reason you cannot digest lactose is because your digestive system isn’t producing enough lactase.
When you eat any type of sugar your intestines produces specific enzymes that help break down the sugar and absorb it into the body. Lactase is the enzyme needed to digest lactose into glucose and galactose. If you don’t have enough lactase, lactose stays undigested and goes to the small intestines. Once it reaches the large intestine, bacteria interacts with it, causing common lactose intolerance symptoms.
The Types of Intolerance
Primary Lactose Intolerance: This is the most common type of lactase deficiency and is genetic, meaning you get the gene from your parents. When you are a baby, your small intestines produce a lot of lactase since milk is a major part of your diet. Then as you grow older, they produce much less. But if you produce too little, lactose won’t digest properly. PLI is not preventable as it is the absence of a lactase persistence allele.
Secondary Lactose Intolerance: This type of intolerance occurs prior to surgery, an illness, or injury to your small intestines. This could be following stomach flu or having celiac disease. Should the injury or illness be temporary, the production of lactase may return to normal.
Congenital Lactose Intolerance: This type is very rare, though particularly common in Finland, and occurs mainly in premature babies due to lactase levels not increasing until the third trimester of pregnancy.
Who is Affected?
Lactose intolerance is common to form during adulthood. Some ethnic and racial populations are more affected than others, including African Americans, Hispanic Americans, American Indians, and Asian Americans. The condition is least common among Americans of northern European descent.
The Term Paper on Lactose Intolerance Products People Milk
Lactose Intolerance: Another Painful Reason For Growing Up Lactose intolerance (LI) is the inability of some humans to digest the lactose sugar contained in most dairy products and foods made with dairy products. LI has numerous readily apparent physical symptoms such as gas, cramps and diarrhea (Houts 110). More importantly, LI may lead to malnutrition in those people affected because of the loss ...
Getting Tested
There are many test to find out if you are lactose intolerant or not, one being the Hydrogen breath test. That entails you ingesting 25g of lactose in an aqueous solution. If you are lactose intolerant, the lactose with metabolize and produce Hydrogen, which will be detected on your breath.
Treatment
The symptoms for lactose intolerance include abdominal pain, abdominal bloating, gas, diarrhea, and nausea.
Although there is no cure for lactose intolerance, there are things you can do to help. Since everyone can handle different amounts of lactose, you could experiment with the amount you can ingest in your diet. You can also take lactase supplement pills which put the lactase in your body which you cannot produce yourself.
