1. What was the tutorial topic and the concepts that were covered? | This week’s tutorial topic is to work as a team and the nominal group technique. This topic aims to enhance your communication skill as well as your ability to work with others to get a goal which you will not be able to reach by yourself. |
2. What was the activity/ies undertaken during the tutorial? | We have two activities in the class. The first one is to judge that if marjjuana and euthanasia should be legalized and the second one is try to solve the low efficiency problem in a company which manufactures glassware. |
3. What did I learn from the activity/ies? | From these activities, we could easily know that a group/team can reach a higher level when finishing a job than individual one. But that really depend on the way they deal with things. There is always process lose and process gain. A brainstorm help a team come up with more ideas but lose part of efficiency. A good communication is the base of a success of a team. |
4. What is my learning gap in relation to this topic? | The hardest thing of all when work as a team is to get an agreement among all members. It is easy to come up with few ideas but hard to get best one. To reach a balance of all members needs a lot of work. |
5. How will I apply these learnings in my studies, work or other aspects of my life? | Try to talk more to others, and be a good listener. Sometimes you have to think from other one’s view, that makes an agreement more easily to reach. |
