Hook As of May 22, 2012 there are 1,989 breweries in the U.S. This includes both craft and large non-craft breweries. Of that only 21 of them are large non-craft breweries, this is your more well known beers. Craft surpassed volume share grew 5% in 2011 and continues to gain while large brewer volumes are in decline. This basically means that the more local and unknown brewed beers are selling better than those of the mainstream commercial beers. Theses statistics may be surprising to you but it should also tell you there is more out there than you realize. Relevancy The three main companies I am going to talk about today are New Belgium Brewing which is located in St. Louis, Flying Dog Brewery which is located in Maryland, and lastly Rogue Ales Brewery located in Portland. Credibility I have been a big fan and follower of these brewers and there beer for a while now, and in my opinion its some of the most delicious beer i have ever consumed and I think if i can spread the word a lot more people may get to enjoy them.
Thesis Although there are many beer companies advertised in magazines and on television, there are also many companies that people have no idea about. Preview The unknown brewers of America dedicate themselves to putting out quality product that will bring people who share the interest of good beer together. They achieve this by opening up all different kinds of breweries. There are Brewpubs which are the combination of a brewery and a restaurant, Microbreweries which are breweries that produce a limited amount of beer, and then there is a Craft Brewery which is usually a small independent and traditional brewery. Connective Another interesting thing is some of these brewers while making delicious types of beers are also trying to save the earth in the process. (internal) Body

Main point one topic sentence New Belgium Brewery is one of the leading breweries that helped start the trend to try and go green, so not only are they making great beer but there trying to save the environment while doing so.
Quote “In 1998, the entire staff of New Belgium Brewing Company agreed to the financial commitment of making their facility the first wind-powered brewery in the U.S.” (Sweezy) The men and women of New Belgium have given up a lot more than just time and hard work to earn there place among the great brewers of the U.S. They all have even sacrificed there own money that they earned just to try and make an impact on the planet.
Statistic The 70 person staff voted to purchase the wind power, even tho the additional cost would diminish the size of their annual bonuses. (Bird) Thanks to companies like New Belgium we get to enjoy specialty brewed beer while also know its vein brewed by an environmentally friendly company, one thats even willing to sacrifice there pay for it. Connective Along with New Belgium there are many other local and underground breweries that strive for greatness through interesting traits. The second brewery that I would like to talk to you about is partly popular due to the art that is involved with there bottles.
Main point two topic sentence Flying Dog Brewery is a very unique not only does the famous artist Ralph Steadman design the different logos on the bottles, but one of the founders George Stranahan is a well known photographer.
Not only are Ralph and George great artist, but they are also lifelong friends of the famous journalist known as Hunter S. Thompson. When him and Ralph first met changed his whole style of artistic expression.
The Research paper on A Ralph Lauren company
Todays globalization and the economic environment have paved way to the increasing importance of brands and management of the brand. As stated by Kotler and Armstrong (2010) the skills which are very distinctive for marketers of 21st century is that ability to manage and build brands.Brand is the company’s most treasured assets, it represents the spirit of the company and functions as uniqueness ...
Ralph and Hunter spent a week together on a boat following a yacht race, and all the while Hunter was steadily consuming small yellow pills. Ralph was battling seasickness and asked Thompson if his pills would help him. Thompson gave him one, and changed his life forever. The pill contained LSD, and Ralph was sent on a day-long adventure. This journey changed his life forever, and clearly affected his artwork. He loosened up even more, and his work began to show more emotion.
Fact Hunter introduced George to Ralph, who then began doing original art for Flying Dog’s labels in 1996. Ralph’s first art was for Road Dog Porter. Transition So far I’ve talked about how one brewery has made an effort to help save they earth, and how another brewery has made an effort to incorporate art into there beer. Now I’m going to talk about how following your dream can pay off in the long run.
Main point three topic sentence The last company I am going to tell you about is Rogue Ale, they are probably the smallest out of the three i have introduced to you today but also probably my favorite.
Rogue was recently honored at the World Beer Awards with four World’s Best Awards given to Chatoe Dirtoir, Brutal IPA, Chocolate Stout and Mocha Porter. In order, they were recognized as World’s Best Seasonal Lager, World’s Best Bitter Pale Ale, World’s Best Flavored Stout and World’s Best Flavored Porter. They also take part in many charity events training to reach out and give back to the community.
Quote “Our goal was to create an event to celebrate the allure, complexity and flavors of pale ale, while raising awareness about an important men’s health issue,” (Rick Lyke)
Connective As you can see all of theses lesser known breweries bring something special and unique to the table, whether it be going green, expressing an artistic idea, or giving back to the community. They are all under rated and i hope today i helped to spread the word.
Conclusion
Signal/restate thesis There are a great amount of lesser known craft breweries in the United States.
Review main points The three companies I have spoken about today are full of great workers, great leaders and good product. They are just struggling to become a mainstream name, they have no commercials on TV or pages in magazines there just going by word of mouth of their customers.
The Essay on The Writing On The Wall (is graffiti an art form?)
“Graffiti is an art form” Or is it? There are many arguments for and against graffiti. In this essay, I will try to tackle the various aspects of these arguments, giving proof along the way. My interest in graffiti is purely artistic; I feel this essay may be more biased towards graffiti as an art form, as I think it is a beautiful and interesting branch of artistic talent and ...
Relate to introduction It all started with a couple friends who had a dream; to bring together good people and good beer.
Dissolve/Strong Ending I believe that by educating people about these companies here today i can help spread the word about local good beer, and maybe even help make some dreams come true.
