Less than anything in the world I would like to start out with things about how miserable my life has become. I am not going to do that, either, however, sometimes, it occurs to me that there are definitely things that I missed out about the whole situation. Living in Queens, NY certainly teaches you something. For one thing, you have to put with routine and learn how to get through it. School and classes are dull, and most of the teachers do not care whatsoever about who you really are and what are your goals in life. Perhaps its not their fault, either. I believe it is the social environment that produces that kind of attitude. I never dreamed about any bed of roses or anything like that.
I do understand that in order to start feeling comfortable about life you have to reconsider your own attitude in the first place. However, after September 11, I also realized that the circus of pawns around is capable not only of dismissing your true personality as being simply irrelevant, instead people seem to grasp at the opportunity to revolt against everyday stupidity by means of finding a scapegoat, namely, people who are Muslim. I am an American and I am a Muslim as well. Even in the worst moments of my existence I could not have possibly imagined all the hatred and misunderstanding that I would have to deal with in the future. I could have never imagined that people who barely knew me before are going to turn at me as if me, and other Muslim people are the reason for all the inconsistencies and disasters in life. Fucking terrorists- is that who we are? Ruthless and bloodthirsty killers whose only entertainment is to make things difficult for American people-is that us? The gruesome effects of mass hysteria appear to be deprived of any logic.
The Essay on Reason To Live Things Life Hurt
1. One of Dunn s themes is the vulnerability of the human being alive in this world. In The Vanishing he writes that hurt hurts is one of life s truths. How, in the face of that hurt, does the human being find a reason for living Finding a reason for living in the face of hurting is a conflict most human beings have had to endure. One of the hardest things in life to do is live. Finding the things ...
The question I often ask myself-what is that elusive force that turns a seemingly reasonable person into an idiot who is ready to knock you unconscious as if the color of your skin makes him feel severe pain in the you know where. The answer is hard to find. I do know what the word bias really means; I had several situations in life where I had to witness the circumstances of similar kind. But is bias and plain stupidity somehow related? The American nation always had pride in its democratic order and unquestionable amount of patriotism. Well, let us define patriotism then. Is patriotism simply about biased against those whose origin is the same as that of some criminal? How patriotic such attitude really is? The scariest thing is that media seems to support the view of the crowd which is not much of a surprise to me. Something this situation leads to believe that true meaning of the word patriotism has been lost somewhere along the way, and what we have now is a heinous parody of what once had been laid as a capstone to American democracy.
Our television is actively trying to persuade the audience that when you say Muslim you have think of violence, terrorism and war. Further, the Muslim religion-Islam is being made a subject to various misinterpretations. Now it seems like we have dozens of experts in Islam on television who think of themselves to be educated enough to take the responsibility of bringing the truth to American people of what Islam is really about. 99 percent of people out there have no clue whatsoever on what Jihad really is, and yet everyone is smart enough to relate and draw some genuinely ridiculous conclusions about the situation. Certainly, with all these things happening I started hypothesizing about how social forces really work in this democratic country of ours. What I came up with does not seem to look that reassuring. Therefore I do hope that I am wrong in my conclusions.
However, as I see it, for a time being theres no other conclusion that can be possibly made. Our society is but a crowd of consuming and narrow-minded individuals whose primary concern is to go on with their pitiful existence without being invaded by others whose views and beliefs are capable of altering their perception in life, an ultimately dreadful situation for them. These individuals, however, care enough to entertain themselves by means of oppressing those who do not look or do not think like them. I think it does not even have to do much with national security considerations or things like that. Instead, it is more like an inborn drive to oppress others and to humiliate the weak. All our so-called values of support, cooperation and commiseration are but pompous yet useless devices that were created with the purpose to overshadow the hideous activity that goes on in our society for centuries.
The Term Paper on Political Islam in Europe and the Mediterranean
Introduction Political Islam is increasingly important to European politicians and policymakers. Europe’s Muslims are growing in numbers, and some form and join political organisations that articulate Islamic values in the public sphere. Muslim countries that neighbour Europe across the Mediterranean and Black Seas are going through a period of rapid political change, as demonstrated by the anti- ...
The given ideology of the state is being safely guarded by its watchdogs-the media, CIA, FBI that all together created one huge power-public opinion. The public opinion can be either positive or negative. Woe to those, who are hapless enough to produce any action or opinion that does not match with that of rest of the people. Such individual or any other entity of any kind is immediately put through process of being socially ostracized, blamed for all the misfortunes, and eventually being exterminated from the body of the state like an infectious disease from the human body. I admit that might sound too harsh in my conclusion but with what I have seen so far and especially after September 11 I do no seem to possess any alternative option of judgment. I do hope, however, that we as nation are strong enough to rebuild our mentality to make more humane, at the very least.
I hope..
