What character traits made Malacy the man he is Malacy has a couple of traits that make him the man he is. First he is selfish. Second he is prideful. Lastly he loves his children. First he is selfish because when ever he gets the money he only goes out and buys a pint. When is wife has a new baby he gets his check and goes out and spends it all on beer.
When he goes to England all the money he earns goes to his beer. Meanwhile his wife is begging from the preis t and breaking down walls in her house to make a fire. When he comes home from England he brings them a half eaten box of chocolate. Second he has to much pride. He tells his wife not to pick up coal from the street. But why wouldn t you pick up coal from the street if you have a new baby and its cold and wet and with out heat you baby would die? He also tells his wife not to beg from the priests or not to be lent money.
But again why not if you have children and they will die with out food Lastly he loves his children. You may say the he dose not love his children but I think he dose. If he dose not love his children why would he give his family any money even if it is a penny. Why would he give his children any chocolate even if he ate some of it? Also why would he go to Frankie in the hospital or to take him to church. He must love his children even if it is only a little. In closing Malacy is a drunk, prideful Irish man that loves his children and is selfish..
