After reading “Major of Figures in Ballet” it open my eyes up more to the world of ballet dance. I did not know where ballet dance came from or how it got started; and I always wanted to know who started the beautiful dance of ballet. After reading this I know more about the dance now and I see ballet dance in a different eye now than I did before. I learn who started ballet or shall I say who had the love of ballet and she was the one who started ballet through her love of dance and her name is Catherine de’ Medici.
Catherine was a born in Italy and she had a love for dance and she had the love of dance in her heart. When she got married to a French man she moved to France and asks some of the masters of dance to come with her. It was there that the change of ballet dance was born and it change of dance was going to begin. It was important that they came with her because that is how ballet got started. Everyone that came with her had a role that they played in the ballet world. The moves or shapes that we see today all came from the masters of dance.
One of the masters that came with Catherine was Beaujoyeulx who had a love for dance and he was a dancer. One of the moves that we see today that he made is leg out; that move he came up with was back in 1535 years ago. Beaujoyeulx made his mark on the world of dance through his moves and shapes. You can see some of his stuff in some ballet dance like ‘The Nutcracker or The swan Lake. That is just to name some but, like I said every dance of ballet has him in it.

Charles Didelot was a French dancer, choreographer and teacher whose choreography was characteristic of the Romantic style. In his time this was the Romantic time of nineteenth century. AS you see some of the dancers’ costumes of today all that came from him. He introduced the look to ballet costumes. So as you may see there are a lot of people that helped change the world of dance. Even though I just talked about a few there are several of masters of dancers out here that helped change the world of dance ballet. And as you may see that the masters dance still live on; and how I know, because I see every time I see a ballet dance.
