A Marine Biologist’s responsibility is to observe and report all of the effects the environment is receiving from direct and indirect sources of pollution. With these findings, the Marine Biologist must determine a solution to help the environment return to its original state. A Marine Biologist monitor and review information from materials, events, or the environment, often to detect problems or to determine if a solution is working. They evaluate the information against a set of standards and verify that it is correct. They also translate or explain what the information means and how it can be understood or used to support responses or gain the feedback of others.
A bachelor’s degree with some overall experience in the field is the minimum formal education required for a Marine Biologist. Some positions may also require a graduate-school degree. The following are subject areas with which a Marine Biologist must be familiar with Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Marine environment and organisms, and Zoology (the scientific study of animals, including their structure, reproduction, growth, heredity, evolution, behavior, and distribution).
The most important tasks for a Marine Biologist are scientific and analytical, in order to study the basic principles of marine plant and animal life, such as their origins, relationships, development, anatomy, and functions. They also study aquatic plants and animals and environmental conditions affecting them, such as radioactivity or pollution. Marine Biologists collect and analyze biological data about the relationships among and between organisms and their environment.
The Essay on How I Decided To Become A Marine Biologist
People go to university for many reasons; my reason was founded in looking into rock pools at the Browns Bay beach and wanting to know more about the deep blue wonder, I built sand castles at the beach in the shape of sharks and crabs; watching documentaries and volunteering at the Island Bay Marine Education Centre all of which led me to become a marine biologist. So my journey begins in ...
They Study and manage wild animal populations, and investigate and develop pest management and control measures. Marine Biologists the share these test results with state and federal representatives and the general public. A Marine Biologist has to report and make understandable the information he or she obtains. Once an environmental problem is identified, it must be communicated to the proper authorities in order to take action and determine a solution. For such a sensitive issue as the environment, any actions taken to resolve a problem must be quick and accurate. Therefore, the information being reported must be clear and concise.
Marine Biologists alone cannot resolve difficult environmental challenges. They must work with others as a team to come up with solutions and a plan to execute it.
