Mixture of Titles . page #1 In one page, describe what it means to be a member of a community? Community is a group of people living in a certain geographic area. To be a member of a community means a lot of things. The first thing is that by being a member of a community one becomes a part of a large organism comprised of individuals living in a given area. The organism has its rules to live by and therefore, your main role is not only to obey them but also to contribute to the well being of this organism in order to assure peaceful and good life to everybody. To be a member of a community is like to be a member of one family, where everyone has to help his/her relatives to live decent lives.
Therefore each member of a community needs to perform different functions in the family to keep every one happy and satisfied. In other words there must be doctors, firemen, policemen as well as vendors and taxi drivers in order for this miniature society to prove function One has to do at the same time what one likes to do in order to maintain the overall satisfaction level in the society therefore one cannot oneself a community member if she/he does not benefit the community with ones efforts and not just prayers. To be a member of a community is to be the community leader. I personally do not consider that one should be called a member of a community if he/she is completely detached from it and does not do anything to beautify and benefit it somehow. My personal attitude towards the community membership is reflected in the following Latin dictum it is better to be number one in town X, then number one hundred in Rome and certainly means that I always try to become the pride of my community rather than some silent majority that does not participate. page #2.
The Essay on We Should Improve Communication Among Community Members
According to this statement, each person of community members has the right to choose not only communicating with others but also keeping silence. In my view, I would agree that we should improve communication among community members, in two respects. First, it is essential to the community that we members have interactions with each other and secondly, it recommends an effective and potentially ...
In one page, describe a personal experience about your volunteer service at a food bank in your community, what you gained from this experience, and how it reflects the unique values of a medical school program. Oftentimes when I have a free time I enjoy helping out in the local food bank where I serve the food to the elderly or to the poor. The process is very routine and simple. A group of volunteers arrive at the food bank in different shifts and immediately divide the roles among themselves to improve efficiency of the process. One group prepares the food, the other group serves the poor and the elderly and makes sure that each person gets a fair amount of food that would satisfy their immediate appetites. The third group collects the used dishes and utensils and either washes them (if the are reusable, which also depends on the food bank in the town) or throws them away if they are of single use. It is primarily from working in a food bank that I developed an idea of becoming a doctor in the future.
When looking into the sad eyes of the poor, the homeless, the elderly that attend our food bank I saw a deep ocean of sadness and realized that it is me who has to get up and help them with whatever I am able to do. I realized that if these people are exposed to such poor food quality and communication, then they are certainly receiving one of the worst health care treatments ever possible in this country. I do feel sorry for them and I realized that they are the people just like everybody else and therefore should receive all the happiness and joy that other people are receiving or at least should not be deprived of their personal pursuit of happiness. The experience of working at a food service in a bank certainly made me more sensitive to the problems of others as well as polished my virtues like compassion, understanding and tolerance. These are the qualities one also needs to have to become a medical school student and a doctor in the future and to serve my country as much as possible especially in the times it goes through now. page #3.

In one page, state the role leadership has played in your high school accomplishments, determining your career aspiration to be a medical doctor, achieving the goal of becoming a doctor, and preparing for college. Leadership is the ability to lead people after oneself. There were many numerous leaders in the history of the world (Stalin, Roosevelt, Lincoln and Osama bin Laden) who were able to rise human masses to accomplish a specific goal for their country as well as to remain remembered many years after their deaths by many generations. On a more simple level leadership might mean to be a director or a managers at a plan or a company. One can be a wonderful volunteer service leader who not only leads people but also benefits the whole society. In my high school leadership plays a rather primitive role and is basically tied to popularity and recognition. The school leader gets the most attention from the members of the popular sex, enjoys smiles and blushes of people around oneself and is prophesized to succeed.
At the same time the school leader is a community helper-she/he makes other people follow them either in academic achievements, community service or in attempt to look good. The school leaders are found primarily sports because for some reason leadership is almost always involved in some active process that occurs not only in school but around in the community. Leadership to me also means the ability to inspire others into doing something which might be either bad (joining a gang) or good (joining the groups to help the junior high school children adapt to the high school).
Leadership also means to me that I am able to show the people of my community how to take pride of my community and how to make the world a better place to live. I remember that during the track and field competition where I participated last year, one of our team medical doctors was helping one guy to overcome the chest pain caused by some muscle cramp prior to throwing a javelin. I saw how quick, and knowledgeable he was as well as how good his knowledge of a human psychology was.

He spoke with the guy for only about 3 minutes while holding ice to his muscle and afterwards the guy got up threw the javelin and received the third place in the javelin throw event. Certainly it was the persons ability to overcome pain and to throw the javelin, yet it was also the credit of the medical doctor who helped the guy to mobilize himself for a game. I still think of that doctor as a role example of how a doctor should act. As a future medical doctor I believe that leadership is certainly a prerequisite to any college career let alone the medical career. Just because the process of becoming a doctor consumes more time than during the process of becoming an economist for example, one needs some strong personal leadership to make oneself go through all these studies while sacrificing fun, entertainment and part-time jobs. I personally believe that I have these qualities and am able they will help me get through the medical school and become the best doctor in my community..
