MOBILIZING YOUTH FOR DEVELOPMENT
OF PAKISTAN
INTRODUCTION:
Youth forms a major and immensely important chunk of the population of any country. The elders and leaders are the guiding force that direct the nation in time of turmoil, crisis, war or any other kind of difficulty, yet it is the youth which provides the raw energy and human resources for the job. In Pakistan youth constitutes a little above 60% of the entire population. It is because of this that the guidance of the youngsters of Pakistan is even more important than it was or is anytime or anywhere else.
Unfortunately like many other pages of Pakistani history mobilization of youth is one that has suffered severe injustice times and times again. We as a nation would do well to remember that countries whose youth suffer ignorance and injustice have a very dark and unpromising future in store for them. It is therefore obligatory for a nation to clean from its youngsters the grime and filth of an ignorant fool and mold him or her into a personality which is productive and beneficial both socially and individually. In addition youth must be inspired and motivated as much as possible so that goals of national development seem important to them as opposed to accretion of personal capital and gain.
Problems faced by youth:
Giving an account of steps to mobilize the youth of Pakistan for national development would prove to be impossible without first identifying the areas where our weaknesses lie in this matter.

(Lee Iacocca, ww. cyber-national. com victory quote) Many people use, to do list, electronic calendaring and ...
Lack of education:
The first and foremost problem faced by our youth is lack of a good education system. The education system for most of our youth usually aims at cramming and memorizing some useless texts that fail to give the youngsters a profound sense of application of acquired knowledge and skills of argumentation and method that are absolutely essential in the ever challenging and ever changing world of today.
Child labor:
It is a direct consequence of lack of education, and is another major obstacle in the path of national development. Children that are forced by the society to work without regards for their well being and safety are never able to develop the feelings of devotion and compassion for the country that are required of a patriotic citizen. Moreover it is ethically and religiously improper for anyone to be deprived of education and forced to work at such a young age.
Low Self esteem:
Growing up in a setup such as ours where we are encompassed by a multitude of problems and where horrors such as terrorism and suicide bombings loom constantly over our heads like swords that not only threaten our existence but the very morals and ideals that we believe in and so strongly protect and enforce. It is only natural for people under these circumstances (especially the youth which is always the more emotional and passionate part of society) to suffer depression and lose self esteem.
Unemployment:
Acquisition of livelihood by lawful, ethical and moral methods is not only the basic right of every human being but also one of the foremost responsibilities that he is granted by God. It is the responsibility of the government to provide such opportunities to all the citizens of the state. Failure to do so will cause not only a productive and energetic part of society to go to waste but feelings of rebellion and disloyalty to the state are also created.

Law and order:
Peace and tranquility are essential for the economic and social development of a nation. A government that fails in the provision of these essential components of individual and national progress spells suicide for itself and naturally also for the people. Youth being vigorous and energetic are always the first victims (and sometimes even the perpetrators) of any form of lawlessness .
Poverty:
Poverty has oft been described (and rightly so) as the mother of all evils, to energetic and talented youngsters (who are full hopes and dreams) not being able to achieve individual progress and playing their role in our nations success merely due to lack of resources is something very depressing.
Many people, endowed with gifts that alleviate them to the level of genius, are usually unable to pursue their goals because of poverty. Difficulties faced by girls:
Many talented females are unable to play their part in national development because of misguiding religious scholars and conservative elements. Thus valuable human resources are going to waste.
Solutions to the above problems (steps for mobilization of youth for development of Pakistan)
Although uptill now due to our laziness, and, lack of interest we are far from achieving our goals and though we do stand on the brink of disaster, all is not lost yet and some steps can be taken that can improve the situation and as of yet might enable us to succeed where or predecessors failed.
Plan of action:
In order to effectively tackle our problems we need a plan of action so that our path becomes clear and we are able to concentrate fully on all the obstacles the hinder us and eventually come up with a way to overcome them.
Firstly we need to tackle the uneducated portion of youth, which includes both the children and those of a somewhat greater age.
Secondly seminars and workshops should be arranged to enable patriotic youngsters to strive and play their own part for the country.
The Term Paper on Potential Effects Of Five Different Life Factors On The Development Of An Individual
Genetics affect who you will grow to be in many ways. Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is the language of life that is within every living thing, genetic instructions that form what we will become. After that the multitude of individual problems should be tackled step by step under the guidance of the government but with motivation and support by the people.
Unless the people themselves come forward to root out this problem we cannot expect any government to do it for us. We must hold ourselves responsible for all that has happened to us and we must work tirelessly to make amends not only for ourselves but in the hope of providing a better future to the next generation.
Creating Awareness:
Problems of this nature can only be tackled if the whole nation comes forward to face them. Awareness should be increased among university and college level students, workshops and seminars should be arranged for the matter and informative lectures should be given.
Media can also play an important part in this regard. It should produce documentaries and talk shows and should let youth take the initiative by providing them with opportunities. General public should be targeted in this regard giving absolutely no importance to social status or riches.
Role of parents and guardians:
Personality building always begins at home therefore it is imperative on every individual to try and inject a sense of patriotism and selflessness in his family members. Motivated, dedicated and uninterrupted hardwork should be directed for the development of the nation and parents should ensure that their children are brought up in such a way as to not only embrace these morals but also to spread them as much as they can. It is a basic fact that grooming begins at home therefore we should not forget the importance of this aspect.
Improving education system:
Although the education system of Pakistan is more bad than good, all is not lost at the moment. There is still hope for the illiterate, but in order to transform this illiterate and virtually useless population into a highly industrious, productive and socially and individually a beneficial part of society steps must be taken to counter act the religious misinterpretations and misconceptions that have crept into our lives due to some misguiding leaders and scholars.
American Education System Versus Asian Education System
Today the American education system is no longer the best in the world. With declining test scores and poor academic achievement, people have questioned whether our current educational system is working for us? On the other side of the Pacific, the situation is totally different. Students of Asian countries achieve higher academic achievements, and they rank at the top on math and science tests. ...
Secondly our system of education should be aimed at inducing into the students skills of application of knowledge and argumentative reasoning instead of cramming some useless texts.
Confidence building measures:
Seminars and workshops should be arranged to enhance confidence and improve self esteem. Youngsters must be made to realize that there is still hope for the country. Most of our youngsters dream of going abroad to secure capital and improve their own personal standard of living. Their priorities should be reestablished and national development should be considered the most important.
