Every human being dreams about having an exact duplicate of himself for their own personal glorification and publicity. But really, we seem to have forgotten what is morally right and wrong. Unlike automobiles, and computers, human beings are not commodities. Human beings are naturally born through God’s will and we have no right in interfering in God’s creation. We are not meant to be specimens. To treat a human as a property is deeply immoral and inhumane.
Cloning is not a routine process. Few people realize that the successful creation of Dolly came only after hundreds of failed attempts. Before scientists succeeded in cloning a human embryo in 1994, they created and discarded numerous human embryos. Literally hundreds of thousands of human embryos will have to be brought into existence to overcome the technological hurdles of cloning a human embryo that grows to maturity. These embryos will not be treated as intrinsically valuable human beings, but rather as things to be used to further the ends of science or the benefit of others.
Other than just ethical beliefs, there are a lot of other risks in human cloning involved too. If cloning is adopted everywhere, every nation could clone armies and train them !! If we rely on cloning for reproduction , then everyone will have the same genotype. Also if there is a disease that’s fatal to the genotype, it can wipe out the entire human race.
