My first classical experience was exceedingly enjoyable. It consisted of 2 symphonies Mozart, Mahler and an overture by Gioachino Rossini. It started with the overture La Gaza Laura. The opening was exciting with a fantastic two-drum roll with elasticity and a tight harmonic sound. Then it sounded like woodwinds that quietly bubble along with the orchestra I could feel the emotion inside me start to build. Then a passage of repeated rhythmic figures gradually grew louder and louder, as more and more instruments joined in the momentum became irresistible.
It was so lively and full of color that I was consumed with passion. This passage was repeated, the second time leading to a culminating section in an even faster tempo. I was so excited I didn’t want the music to stop but it did only for a moment. The next movement was slow and relaxing at the beginning, gradually getting louder and then soft again at parts. They ” re where many instruments playing and the tone colors were unexplainable. It was quite unpredictable at parts, because at points it will go from being really soft, to a forte with no crescendo.
The strings, flutes and other instruments mostly played softly and bouncy, making the piece sound joyous yet light. The final movement started with a violin solo, and then the rest of the symphony chiming in after that; this was the melody that was played throughout the movement. It is very chipper and loud. It sounds like there are two violins playing a duet throughout the entire piece.

There were lots of accents and it seems to get very loud and fast at times, making the piece very intense to listen to. It was also hard to tell when the movement was actually going to end. I was thrilled, excited beyond belief and arose and clapped vigorously when it ended. The first movement started with a dark overpowering feeling almost like a funeral which transformed to mournful tone.
Then what followed was soothing melody full of tone colors. Throughout this movement I had feelings of happiness and pure serenity. The final movement, started with an intense crashing cymbal chord then it lead into a musical blaze almost like thunder breaking through the clouds. I thought for a second I heard alarm clocks going off which awakened everyone. Then as it began to settle into a march like theme it returned to the storming sounds. Peaceful joyous sounds proceeded I could close my eyes and be in heaven.
Slowly everything started to speed up, drums were playing rhythmically and horns were calling as if something were going to happen. Faster and faster the pace picked up and I felt like I could get up and scream, but it was finally over and I got up and clapped with excitement. This was truly an intense and overpowering night filled with anticipation, excitement and joy.
