It’s the longest sustained automotive rivalry in American history Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro and it has just boiled over. With the economy we live in and fuel prices up high, which car would be the best considering both of them are V.8 engines? With the Camaro SS having the complete package of 426 horse power can produce 5,900 RPM’s as well as 420 pounds of torque at 4,600 RPM’s and reaching 100 mph is just a matter of 10.7 seconds it’s just irresistible to say no to it. With a price starting anywhere to 33,000 and up for a based model does the price sound fair? Are you paying for its horse power and its outside beauty or are you getting more as well? Holding 19 gallons of fuel and giving 24 miles per gallon, and using unleaded premium fuel, it sure hurts our wallet when we take this baby for a drive! With the economy we are having will the Camaro SS be the better choice? The Camaro may perhaps have a better beauty than the Ford Mustang GT.
Its low body style, angry looking halo headlights, body style, and paint that seems to represent a lightning bolt it sure will beat the Mustang GT at a beauty contest! There’s more than enough power here to overcome the available grip and saving a shift certainly saves time, but there’s something distinctly unsatisfying about the Camaro’s acceleration. The Camaro makes respectable handling numbers and is well is mannered and quite well behaved on less-than-smooth roads, but it lacks the engagement of the more responsive Mustang. The 20-inch wheels and tires are noticeably heavy, with chassis heavily burdening its front tires. The Camaro also has luxury inside the car not just engine. The 30,000 dollars and up you paying seems quiet fair. How will the Mustang GT price match?
The 2011 Mustang GT has proved itself being fourteen horse power less than the Camaro SS as the number one fast car. The 2011 Ford Mustang GT indeed beats the 2011 Camaro SS’s price. Starting at just 28,000 dollars for a base model, you sure are getting a real car! Not only does it have speed, but it also saves money in your pockets. With fuel being up high it sure does beat the Camaro SS’s price, holding 16 gallons of fuel and giving an amazing 28 miles to the gallon considering it is a V.8, I wouldn’t mind taking this baby for a drive to the city!
