It was summer 2009. My husband surprised me with tickets to Las Vegas, for our second anniversary. Our 4 days vacation package included air ticket, car and hotel. I was all excited, and packed all beautiful and colorful dresses appropriate for Las Vegas temperature. We were advised ahead by our friends to stay indoors during day time, as it is going to be too hot and humid in Las Vegas at this time of the year. On June 20th 2009 we flew from Virginia to Las Vegas in an American Airlines flight. By the time we reached there, it was 11pm in Las Vegas. Time in Las Vegas is 3 hours behind our Eastern Time.
We picked our rented SUV at the airport, and went straight to our hotel Circus Circus, located at the crossroads of Tropicana Road and Las Vegas Strip. We booked this hotel for its indoor amusement park, and the free circus. We were put in one of the west tower rooms, which were located directly above the hotel lobby, with close proximity to shopping promenade and Adventure dome. We slept for couple of hours. We started our vacation first with the casino strip road. The place looked beautiful, lively, and fully packed with people, vehicles, and casinos on either side of the road.
I felt myself in a dream land with all the lightning from the casinos, with the noise coming from vehicles, laughter, fun and music. I felt my two eyes are not sufficient to see the beauty of the sight. Next day we started our day at 12am, with an Indian restaurant named Gandhi restaurant. We finished our lunch, and started off with the adventure rides at our hotel Circus Circus. Then we went to the free circus in the hotel. Once we finished with the amusements in our hotel, we planned to visit the most important casinos in Las Vegas. First one is the famous Bellagio. The best part of Bellagio is the musical water fountain show.
The Essay on Volunteer Work Time First Day
English ENG 2000 Spring Semester 1997 The first agency I volunteered to work for is a program called Summer Quest. Summer Quest is designed to help students that are in the sixth through twelfth grade experience a "positive summer experience." What this actually means is that it provides students an opportunity to do fun and exciting things, in a positive atmosphere. Instead of the students ...
I enjoyed the show and felt romantic, seeing the way water dances for the sweet melody of music. Then we went to casino Venetian, here we got a chance for pleasant, evening romantic boat ride called Gondola Ride. There are both indoor and outdoor gondola rides. We went in the indoor gondola ride for about 15 minutes. Indoor gondola ride takes us through the Grand Canal shops. I really admired the Italian architecture inside the shops and the sky blue painted ceiling. The boat driver sang a song for us. Though the whole experience coasted about $40, it was the most romantic and memorable experience perfect for our anniversary.
The next 3 days we spent time visiting casinos. Casinos in Las Vegas are a combination of Casino, hotel, restaurants and shopping mall. On the second day of our trip, we visited one of the top casinos Wynn. We played Black Jack in the casino with a minimum bet of $20 and gained $100. The whole casino was noisy, with the busy players and the constant undertone of slot machines. The whole hall was filled with cigarette smell (as we were in the smoke zone).
I can see the seriousness in gamblers faces, as they focus on their machines. They sit back, lean forward and draw deeply on cigarettes as they play.
We also visited Ferrari car showroom with in the casino. The showroom had used cars and each car coasted around 650,000 US dollars. We ended our day by going to a buffet in Riviera casino hotel. The casino served 100 varieties of food and different varieties of dessert which were too good and yummy. On the third day, we visited casino-Stratosphere. The casino looked like a globe on a thin pole dressed up in colorful lights of beauty. We went inside and got into an elevator to find ourselves thousand feet above and inside the globe.
The globe has transparent glass around it, from where we can have a maximum view of Las Vegas. It was too scary for me to be at such a height, I felt my heart would stop, and our eyes didn’t dare to stop reeling at that moment. There were also rides sliding to the edge of the pole. I would admit: this casino is good for adventure loving people, and not for me, as I have acrophobia. But the casino looked beautiful at night from outside with beautiful colors. We then went to Pyramid shaped Luxor. The atmosphere inside the casino was beautiful, pleasant and serene.
The Essay on Mountain Gors

We stood at the poker tables and watched people playing for maximum bets. I brought a miniature pyramid, as I believe having pyramid in the house is auspicious. Our final visit was to Grand Canyon Mountains. The mountains looked vast and inarguably beautiful. I was awestruck looking at the beauty of the mountains. We saw sun set from the mountains. It was a beautiful scene. The sun rays falling on the rocks made them look different with different colors. We took lots of pictures and flew back home happy and fulfilled. The whole trip was an amazing experience, and our hearts whispered-“It was worth flying that far”.
