In the process of living our lives, we meet people or groups of people that change our lives for the best. Some impressions last forever, and we remain glad that fate had us where we are at specific moments. When I think of my English class, what comes to my mind is a group of people that I do not want to ever be separated from. I am positive it is one of the greatest groups I will ever be involved in, and the experiences I have had in this class have definitely made me a better person. First of all, this class has enabled me to learn a lot.
The people are supportive and the environment is very conducive for every person to feel free to express him or herself. There is this time I had to read a poem and analyze it for the purpose of creating an essay. The knowledge that I had acquired in the process of the healthy discussions we have in class helped me a lot, and I realized that I had developed the capacity to understand and consequently appreciate literature. If it were not for the environment that prevails in this class, this would maybe never have been possible.
At another time, we were required to read short stories. I chose to analyze one and I wrote an essay that was greatly appreciated by class members after sharing. The appreciation of my effort made me feel really good, and this is the warmth that every class member’s efforts are met with. I really like the unity that exists, and it does not end within the confines of the class. I have formed close friendships as a result of being in this class, and I have people I can always count on.
