Who is your idol? Almost everyone has their idols, including me, I also have my own favourite idol. That person whose qualifies I particular admire is my father. He is forty-eight years old now. For me, I think my father is the most industrious man in the world. He is very fair and tall. He is still very healthy because he always takes balanced diet. He dislikes to consume alcoholic drinks and does not smoke at all. He is really a great husband and a great father too.
He was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Due to his family’s poverty, he ought to work to earn money although he was still young. Life was not a bed of roses to him, he lived at a dilapidated house for many years and did not blame his parents at all. He is not like us, when we feel hot, we will murmur at our parents and insist them to fix an air-conditioner for us. He is a very understanding man and obey his parents’ orders either.
My father is the oldest among five siblings. He prefers to study hard. His ambition is to be a doctor when he grows up. Unfortunately, his parents disagreed because his parent told him that they could not afford to pay the expenses for his education. That really let my father down, but he did not give up at all. He was willing to sacrifice his own happiness in order to ensure other person’s happiness. He was willing to sacrifice his own study and followed his parent’s suggestion to work as a bricklayer in a construction company in Singapore. He was still young and had a long future, but he decided to work alone in Singapore just to bring home the bacon. This was because my grandfather was unable to work any more. Therefore, my father became the sole breadwinner of his family.
Parenting Styles 1999 Parents Children
Parenting Styles Being a parent can be one of the most difficult jobs a person will ever have. It may be especially challenging when the child is in their adolescent years. Most parents want their children to become independent, productive and able to cope with the world. The older methods of parenting do not work in today's society. Teenagers, like everyone else, want to be treated with respect ...
My father said to me, for him it didn’t matter that himself was not well-educated, to be a good person and well-behaved were enough. The most important thing is even though my father did not have the opportunity to study overseas but he always encouraged his siblings to study hard. He worked very hard just to allow his siblings to have more chances to study better. This shows that he does not only care for others, but he is not selfish.
My father is a very diligent man. He is also humble. When he worked as a bricklayer, he always worked overtime to earn extra money for his family. Although he worked at Singapore, he usually went back to visit my grandparents. When he came back, he would massage his parents. Apart from that, he also brought them sight-seeing around the town. My father never blamed anyone for his fate. He is an observant man too. When my grandparents had symptoms like cough, he immediately sent them to clinic.
Then, when he got married, he even worked harder because he knew that he had to support a family of his own. Because my father is honest, his marriage lasted until now. I hope that his marriage will everlasting. I love and admire my father because he has many good qualities. When I grow up, I want to be like him. Daddy, I am really proud of you!
