During my Eid holidays we visited Abha [KSA].Abha is about 2,200 meters above sea level. It is the capital of Asir province. The trip distance from Dammam to Abha was about 1450 kms. It was a journey from 47 C to 15 C. The interesting side of our trip was my grandparents also came along with us. The journey to Abha was very long. We started the journey At 5:00 AM and reached Khamis Mushayt at 7:00 PM. The car was driven by my dad; of course he is an expert driver which gave us enough confidence during the trip. Khamis Mushayt was 25 km away from Abha. The second day we scheduled to visit Al Habalah Mountain. Al Habalah is one of the famous tourist spots in Abha and also known as Hanged village. It is green with beautiful trees. We parked our car on top of Habalah.
Then a cable car took us down to the Hanged village. We stayed there for 4 hrs in order to see, explore and enjoy the entire area. In the afternoon we went to see the famous 11 tunnels in Abha – Makkah route. The tunnel starts from the top of the mountain and ends the valley when we reach down. After our tunnel journey we all went back to our hotel in Khamis Mushayt for rest and sleep. The third day we started our journey to Al Saudah, the highest mountain in KSA.It is about 10,000 feet high from the sea level and it is 75 kms away from Abha. There is a cable car service from top of Al Saudah to 10,000 feet below. We enjoyed the cable car service.

When we reached down, there we could explore the area. It was very beautiful with natural scenery. We returned through the route down town of Saudah with dangerous hair pin curves. This route would take us back to our hotel. On the way we saw many farms with tasty fruits. The fourth day we saw Abha dam which holds 2.13 million cubic meters of water. There was a dolphin show near to the dam. At night we visited and explored the Green Mountain. It is surrounded by very attractive green lights. There is a cable car service available to view and explore the Abha city. After the wonderful trip we went to a heritage museum below Green Mountain. The fifth day we safely reached back home. The entire trip was a remarkable experience for all of us.
