Introduction
The LORD has given me the opportunity to work with the good people of Johnson Baptist Church to implement the Vision and thereby move up to the next level of Kingdom Building here. My vision is not only for today, but for the future since some items are works in progress. My vision is: 1. Spiritual Growth
2. Membership (Numerical) Growth
3. Financial Growth
1. Spiritual Growth (Phil. 1:27)
Spiritual Growth involves fellow Christians working together to reach their full potential in Jesus Christ. We are to grow in grace, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are to become full Disciples of Christ! We must accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Savior of the world. We cannot grow unless we have the nourishment which comes from Christ. Christ must be in us and we must be in Him. * We must grow in our prayer, praise, and study of God’s Word (II Tim. 2:15).
* We must be in worship on a regular basis (Heb. 10:25).
* Our Christian Education Department is committed to enhance the spiritual life of the church. * Youth, Women, and Men’s Conferences to identify issues (economic, social, spiritual) and resolutions for successful Christian living
2. Membership (Numerical) Growth (Acts 2:47)
Jesus said in John 15:5 – “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” We are to bear fruit. We, as disciples and the church, are mandated to go into the hedges and highways and bring people to Christ. The following are ways we can bring people to Christ. * We shall conduct a church audit to verify who is and who is not an active member of our Church (Johnson Baptist Church) with the intent to reclaim and restore inactive members to full membership once again. * Creating an “Andrew Club.”
The Essay on The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints
Many people have varying ideas about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It has been said that the Mormons are a cult out to destroy the beliefs of the other Christian churches. Some believe that they are not a true Christian church, that they hide their beliefs from investigators of their religion, and they keep important details of their religion secret until after you have become a ...
Andrew was one of Jesus’ Disciples. The first thing he did after coming to Christ was to bring his brother, Peter, to Christ. And Peter, when he became converted, preached on the day of Pentecost and three thousand souls were saved that very day! Each of us can make a difference. * Having more church-related activities which give people more opportunities to come to church. * Having more church-related activities which give people more opportunities to come to church. * Calendar of Events to show past, current, and future activities of our church. * Members’ Recognition Banquet to highlight and award outstanding members for work they have done to foster and encourage church growth. 3. Financial Growth (Malachi 3:10)
Our church should be that institution where we can fully carry out the mandate of Christ. Instead of the church being the most financially sound institution; it is oftentimes, the poorest. The LORD has given the church the method for a financially sound church in the book of Malachi 3:10 – “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” It is a shame how we rob God. Instead of a tithe, we give Him a tip. Instead of a tenth of the cake, we give Him the crumbs even after He has given us so much! If we would commit ourselves to blessing the LORD’s work with our tithes and offerings, we wouldn’t have to waste so much time and effort with programs, selling, ticket sales, rallies, struts, dances, etc., just to raise a fraction of what could be realized by being obedient to the Word of God. Having said this and being realistic, I propose the following:
The Essay on Local Church God Faith 1962
INTRODUCTION Quote from Literature Many people try to discredit what the Bible teaches, but my faith comes from God, through his word, The Holy Bible. Billy Graham wrote, "Because the Bible is God's inspired Word, it does not contradict itself or teach falsehoods-because God cannot lie. We may not understand every detail of Scripture, but we must never lose sight of the fact that it is God's Word ...
* Tithing Workshop and training to emphasize the beauty and prosperity realized by being obedient to God’s Word. * Create a new Capital Campaign Fund Drive to generate and maintain monetary funding for the church. * Review and assess all existing fund raising projects to ensure the most effective and least costly means to provide funding for our church.
Conclusion
I pray God will bless us to be courageous enough to move forward with this vision. I await input from every member of My Church! Your thoughts, ideas, suggestions, comments, and prayers, are welcome as we work together for Kingdom building.” TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Amen…
